Job summary

KBR, Inc in Chennai invites applications for a Senior Layout Designer to lead piping onshore layouts, ensuring design integrity while driving project execution.

You will develop unit plot plans, optimize layouts, prepare MTOs and review vendor packages; bring 8–15 years of piping design experience and proficiency in E3D, AutoCAD, MicroStation and MS Office to the team, supporting the complete asset lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Mechanical or Chemical is required.
• Experience with E3D, AutoCAD and MicroStation.
• 8–15 years of piping design experience on onshore projects.
• Ammonia and Urea experience is a plus.

Title: Senior Designer - Piping KBR Sustainable Technology Solutions (STS) provides holistic and value-added solutions across the entire asset life cycle. These include world-class licensed process technologies, differentiated advisory services, deep technical domain expertise, energy transition solutions, high-end design capabilities, and smart solutions to optimize planned and operating assets. KBR is looking for Senior Layout Designer who possess experience in working within the piping design team on onshore projects and ensuring piping design integrity is not compromised while managing the execution of the project.

Responsibilities

• Develop unit plot plans/equipment layouts
• Layout optimization study
• Preparation of MTO
• Review of Vendor package

Qualifications including Required Education, Experience, & Skills

• Candidate should be a Diploma in Mechanical / Chemical
• Excellent knowledge in E3D, MS Office, AutoCAD & MicroStation.
• Good knowledge in mechanical handling concepts
• Good knowledge in conceptual layout study
• Knowledge of support modelling – MDS, Special support Drawing generation is preferred
• Good Communication skills 08 - 15 years of experience in above skills & responsibilities
• Experience in Ammonia and Urea will be considered an added advantage.
