Responsibilities

• Lead the team to design synthetic routes for organic molecules, develop and reproduce robust processes with yield, purity, and quality for both early-phase development and commercial projects.
• Review the chemical consumption sheets prepared based on the proposed route.
• Review the project evaluation reports prepared.
• Review the campaign reports upon completion and weekly status reports.
• Guide and support the team on literature searches related to RFPs, alternative routes, and other scientific information related to process development.
• Strengthen service culture and customer centricity by facilitating and supporting expected product delivery on time.
• Ensure improvement in safety, quality, yield, and simplification of the process in AFR projects.
• Ensure and monitor lab safety, lab housekeeping, and equipment maintenance in accordance with QMS, EHS, and customer requirements.
• Review documentation related to day-to-day activities, such as LNBs, logbooks, etc.
• Exhibit technical proficiency in literature review and presentation.
• Ability to lead and mentor/coach the next-in-line team to create a succession plan.
• Drive and ensure capability development of the team through imparting necessary on-the-job training.
