Job summary

Ignitivesearch Consulting is seeking a Sr. Engineer / Technical Lead with 4–12 years of experience to own electrical harness design activities for automotive and related industries. You will model harnesses in CATIA V5, route assemblies, and interpret schematics to ensure correct harness installation and BOM alignment.

You will also lead risk assessments, apply GD&T, and coordinate with internal teams and customers to meet engineering requirements and delivery timelines.

Qualifications

• Experience in electrical harness modeling for automotive subsystems and car level.
• Ability to interpret electrical schematics for harness routing and installation.
• Proficiency with CATIA V5 and PLM/PDM tools in a manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical harness modeling and routing tasks for aero/auto/heavy industries.

Technical Skills & Responsibilities

• Competent in Electrical harness modeling in CATIA V5 - Electrical Harness Routing (EHI) and Electrical Fitting Installation
• Independently handle Electrical harness modeling related to subsystem and car level.
• Able to interpret electrical schema and apply while routing the harness.
• Wire bundle calculation.
• Selection of protection, connectors, conduit, etc.
• Harness routing respecting defined rules: branching, bend radius, color requirements.
• EMU requirements.
• Understands Engineering BOM and correlates assembly indicators as per operation sequence of components.
• Good understanding and work experience on Sheet Metal module and sheet metal manufacturing process.
• Experienced in applying GD&T and performing tolerance stack-up.
• Hands-on experience with PLM/PDM tools.
• Organizes and leads work package reviews for assigned projects.
• Manages risk assessment and mitigation plans.
• Communicates with internal customers on technical requirements; participates and negotiates technical requirements and acceptance methodologies; strong spoken, telecon, and written communication skills.
• Able to articulate thought processes in individual meetings, larger team meetings, and while dealing with internal and external customer teams.
