Aubert & Duval Engineering India is seeking a CAD engineer with strong CATIA V5 expertise to create parametric 3D models and detailed drawings for forged parts and manufacturing tooling. You will work on 3D models, assess data integrity, and prepare files for forging simulations, with emphasis on GD&T and assembly design.

Experience in the aerospace sector and familiarity with data exchanges (IGES, STL, STP, DXF) are valuable.

Qualifikationen

• 3+ years of Parametric CAD modeling experience using CATIA V5 as the primary tool.
• Experience across Part Design, Generative Shape Design, Assembly Design and Drafting in CATIA V5.
• Knowledge of drafting, GD&T and detailing is required.
• Experience in forging or casting part design, machining, or mechanical systems is a plus.
• Working experience in the aerospace industry is advantageous.

Aufgaben

• Prepare parametric Catia V5 3D models and drawings following predefined guidelines.
• Build 3D models of forged parts by adding machining stock, draft angles, fillet and radii.
• Check data for accuracy and integrity; repair tangency, gap, and continuity.
• Tooling and fixture design for different manufacturing operations.
• Prepare detailed manufacturing drawings with tolerances and annotations.
• Participate in RFQ studies; summarize inputs and calculate blank weight.
• Convert customer 2D drawings into 3D models for forging processes.
• Handle data transfers to/from customers, vendors and internal network.
• Prepare and handle IGES, STL, STP, DXF and native CATIA files; clean up parts/assemblies.
• Prepare meshable models/input files for finite element forging simulations.

• Experience in Generative Structural Analysis is a plus
• Engineering design experience in one or more of the following areas - Forging or casting part design, Machining, Mechanical Systems
• Knowledge of and working experience with drafting, GD&T and detailing required
• Working experience in Aerospace industry is a plus

Responsibilities

• Prepare parametric Catia V5 3D models and drawings following pre-defined guidelines.
• Build 3D models of forged parts from input models / surfaces / profiles by adding machining stock, draft angles, fillet and corner radii.
• Check data for accuracy / integrity; make repairs to achieve requirements for tangency, gap, and continuity.
• Tooling and fixture design for different manufacturing operations in the plant.
• Prepare detailed manufacturing drawings as required with necessary tolerances and annotations.
• Participate to RFQ study. Summarize customer inputs, define blank shapes and calculate input weight.
• Convert customer 2D drawings into 3D models to be used for forging process or as needed
• Handle data transfers to/from customers, vendors and internal network
• Prepare and handle different data and file types, e.g. IGES, STL, STP, DXF and Native CATIA Files.
• Clean up Catia parts / assemblies and prepare meshable models / input files for finite element forging simulation.
