Job summary

Molb India is seeking an experienced Automotive CAD designer to create 3D models of plastic components using Catia. The role focuses on exterior and interior parts, vehicle architecture, and compatibility with injection, assembly processes, and isostatism checks.

You will collaborate closely with design leaders and engineers to ensure manufacturability, dimensional accuracy, and timely delivery aligned with project milestones and vehicle requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree in Transportation, Industrial Design or Engineering with Relevant education.
• Minimum 3 years experience on exterior and/or interior plastic part development within the automotive industry.
• Work independently maintaining good communication with team members and project team.
• Good experience on Catia: generative shape design, solid and drawing modules.
• English mandatory.

Preferred candidate profile

We are seeking an experienced Automotive CAD designer to make 3D model of plastic component with Catia.

He/she should have good expertise in automotive exterior and/or Interior design, vehicle architecture, Engineering & Process (injection, assembly) with the ability to create 3D model into technically feasible & high-quality product.

The role requires close collaboration with design leader and engineering to achieve concept while ensuring manufacturability, environment, dimensional accuracy, and quality.

He/she will be responsible of these 3D models, resolve complex engineering area and interface challenges, report to design leader, and ensure timely delivery in line with project milestones and Vehicle requirements.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree in Transportation, Industrial Design or Engineering with Relevant education
• Minimum 3 years experience on exterior and/or interior plastic part development within the automotive industry
• Work independently maintaining a good communication with team members and project team.
• Check inputs like design, environment, etc.
• Estimate, communicate and adjust level of detail to deliver CAD models according to requests.
• Good experience on Catia: generative shape design, solid and drawing modules.
• knowledge in injection tool, injections point, isostatism (RPS system), checking fixture, assembly process for plastic components and vehicle architecture.
