Job summary

Molb India is seeking an experienced Automotive design Leader to drive styling convergence and design development, delivering reliable concepts with Catia. The role requires strong expertise in automotive exterior and/or interior design, vehicle architecture, and engineering processes to ensure manufacturability and quality.

You will lead a perimeter (Bumpers, IP, console, door trim, etc.), resolve complex interface challenges, and guide CAD designers toward timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Transportation, Industrial Design or Engineering required.
• Minimum 8 years experience in exterior and/or interior plastic part development within automotive industry.
• Experience as design leader for at least 3 years.
• Strong collaboration with cross-disciplinary teams to ensure manufacturability and quality.

Responsibilities

• Generate parametric 3D CAD models to required level.
• Define isostatism for all components (RPS system).
• Check Class-A surfaces for quality and feasibility.
• Develop master sections, studies and concepts in Catia.
• Collaborate with customer, supplier and engineering teams.
• Lead CAD designers and ensure on-time delivery per milestones.
• Report status and issues to management.

Role & responsibilities

• Generation parametric 3D CAD models to appropriate level according to requirements.
• Definition of isostatism for all components (RPS system)
• Checking of Class-A surface
• Generate high quality design of master sections, studies and concept.
• Work collaboratively with customer, supplier & engineering team.
• Experienced in development phase from scratch to RO phase.
• Generation and verification of CAD models for release.
• Ability to work and communicate well within muti-national teams.
• Ability to report the status and issue to management team
• Supports workload distribution, and prioritization of CAD for development.
• Develop CAD model with integration of Class-A surface, engineering request and process feasibility.
• take responsibility for the inclusion of the technical constraints as well as design intention in the CAD model.
• Deliver CAD models within the agreed time frame, adjusting the level of detail to the maturity of the design.

Preferred candidate profile

We are seeking an experienced Automotive design Leader to drive styling convergence and design development and generate reliable concept with Catia.

He/she should have strong expertise in automotive exterior and/or Interior design, vehicle architecture, Engineering & Process (injection, assembly) with the ability to create master sections, study and concept into technically feasible & high-quality product.

The role requires close collaboration with engineering, architecture, process to achieve concept while ensuring manufacturability, environment, dimensional accuracy, and quality.

He/she will be responsible of one perimeter (Bumpers, IP, console, door trim, etc.), resolve complex engineering area and interface challenges, drive the CAD designers, report to manager, and ensure timely delivery in line with project milestones and Vehicle requirements.

• Bachelors Degree in Transportation, Industrial Design or Engineering with Relevant education
• Minimum 8 years experience on exterior and/or interior plastic part development within the automotive industry including 3 years mini as design leader.
• Work independently maintaining a good communication with team members and project team.
• Check inputs like design, environment, etc.
• Have experience on creation of master sections to implement all feasibilities for creation of 3D data
• Estimate, communicate and adjust level of detail to deliver CAD models according to requests.
• Good experience on Catia: generative shape design, solid and drawing modules.
• knowledge in injection tool, injections point, isostatism ( RPS system), checking fixture, assembly process for plastic components and vehicle architecture.
