Job summary

Urban Company in Patna is seeking a results-driven SCM professional to drive operational excellence across the city’s partner network. You will recruit and train partners, raise service quality, and manage day-to-day operations with a strong owner mindset.

You will also own central growth initiatives, lead cross-functional projects to improve offerings, and collaborate with teams to ensure fast, reliable execution and sustained growth.

Customers use our platform to book services such as beauty treatments, haircuts, massage therapy, cleaning, plumbing, carpentry, appliance repair, painting, etc., all delivered in the comfort of their homes and at a time of their choosing.

Urban Company started as UrbanClap in November 2014, when its founders, Abhiraj, Raghav, and Varun, realized that the home services industry was predominantly unorganized, fragmented, and offline. Customers found it challenging to avail quality services conveniently, while service professionals struggled to make ends meet, having to rely upon several middlemen, contractors, and local aggregators.

What You'll Do

The most common question asked is, "What does a typical day in the life of an SCM look like?"

To answer briefly, no two days will be the same for you in this role.

• Drive operational excellence: Your primary focus will be ensuring operational excellence across your assigned cities. This involves selecting and training new partners and improving the quality of existing partners. This is the crux and main focus of the role, making it an operations-heavy position.
• Lead central growth initiatives: Over time, you will also be expected to take charge of key central growth tracks for the category, including:
• Projects focused on improving quality and service excellence.
• Projects focused on improving offerings and driving innovation.
• Collaborate cross-functionally: Work with cross-functional teams to ensure swift and robust execution.

You are the owner of the business entrusted to you, and you will have a direct influence on how the business shapes up. We are looking for individuals with a strong sense of ownership who are passionate about operational excellence.
