Job summary

OZiva is seeking an experienced Category Manager to drive growth and profitability across a key category. You will own the category P&L, lead demand planning, and collaborate with Marketing, Product, Supply Chain, Finance, and Sales to align launches and campaigns.

The role emphasizes data-driven insights, cross-functional leadership, and strategic prioritization to optimize assortment, pricing, and performance metrics in a fast-growing D2C FMCG environment.

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience in Category Management or related growth roles.
  • Experience in D2C FMCG, Beauty, Wellness, Fitness, or consumer brands.
  • Strong understanding of category P&L, budgeting, pricing, forecasting, and commercial management.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Category Manager to drive the growth and profitability of one of the categories we have at OZiva. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in category management, P&L ownership, growth strategy, demand planning, consumer insights, and cross‑functional stakeholder management, preferably within FMCG, beauty, wellness, fitness, or D2C businesses.

Key Responsibilities
1. Category Management & Growth Strategy
  • Drive category revenue, profitability, market share, and overall business growth.
  • Manage assortment and portfolio productivity, identifying opportunities to launch, scale, or rationalize products.
  • Develop and execute the category strategy aligned with overall business objectives.
2. P&L & Budget Ownership
  • Own the category P&L, including revenue, margins, costs, and profitability.
  • Develop and manage category budgets and ensure effective allocation of resources.
  • Track financial performance and identify opportunities to improve margins and contribution.
  • Drive commercial decisions balancing growth, profitability, and customer value.
3. Demand & Supply Planning
  • Lead demand forecasting and work closely with supply chain teams to ensure product availability.
  • Analyze sales trends, seasonality, promotions, and new product launches to improve forecast accuracy.
  • Build and manage strong relationships with vendors, manufacturers, and external partners.
  • Lead commercial negotiations around pricing, margins, MOQ, payment terms, and service levels.
  • Ensure vendor performance is aligned with quality, cost, availability, and business requirements.
5. Market & Competitive Analysis
  • Track market trends, category developments, consumer behaviour, and emerging opportunities.
  • Monitor competitors across assortment, pricing, promotions, product launches, and positioning.
6. Consumer Insights
  • Leverage customer data, reviews, feedback, and market research to understand consumer needs and preferences.
  • Identify consumer pain points and translate insights into product, assortment, pricing, and merchandising opportunities.
  • Develop strategies to improve customer acquisition, conversion, retention, and repeat purchase.
7. Performance Tracking & Analytics
  • Define and monitor key category performance metrics and business KPIs.
  • Track revenue, margins, conversion, AOV, sell‑through, inventory turns, repeat purchase, and other relevant metrics.
8. Cross-functional Stakeholder Management
  • Collaborate closely with Marketing, Product, Supply Chain, Finance, Operations, Sales, E‑commerce, and Customer Experience teams.
  • Drive alignment across teams on category priorities, launches, campaigns, inventory, and business targets.
Desired Candidate Profile
  • 6+ years of relevant experience in Category Management, Business Management, Commercial or Growth roles.
  • Experience in D2C - FMCG, Beauty, Wellness, Fitness, Consumer Brands.
  • Strong understanding of category P&L, budgeting, pricing, forecasting, and commercial management.
