Job summary

Keka Inc. is seeking a Team Leader – Catalog Operations to lead end-to-end ecommerce catalog activities in Gurugram. You will oversee catalog and SKU management, listings, content quality, vendor coordination, CMS operations, and data accuracy while driving team performance.

You will manage a team of Catalog Executives/Data Associates, ensure SLAs, and collaborate with Merchandising, Procurement, Logistics, Content, Technology, and Customer Service to optimize processes and quality.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • 4-6 years of experience in e-commerce catalog management or catalog/data operations.
  • Experience in team handling/people management.
  • Strong knowledge of Excel/Google Sheets: Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, data validation, conditional formatting.
  • Hands-on experience with CMS/PIM, marketplace dashboards, or catalog management systems.
  • Strong understanding of SKU management, taxonomy, metadata, and online listings.
  • Analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver within SLAs.
  • Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
  • Ability to drive process improvements and team performance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the catalog team to manage catalogs and SKUs end-to-end.
  • Ensure taxonomy, attributes, metadata, and product information are accurate.
  • Oversee bulk SKU uploads via Excel/CSV and flat-file workflows.
  • Conduct catalog audits and resolve data-quality issues and duplicates.
  • Manage product listings, descriptions, specs, images, and SEO-aligned content.
  • Coordinate with Merchandising, Procurement, Logistics, and other teams for catalog needs.
  • Define and improve SOPs, workflows, taxonomy rules, and QC processes.
  • Monitor CMS/PIM tools, dashboard updates, and system errors.
  • Prepare MIS on catalog creation, SKU productivity, quality, SLA/TAT, and team performance.

Job description

We are looking for a Team Leader – Catalog Operations to manage end-to-end e-commerce catalog operations, including catalog & SKU management, online listings, content quality, vendor coordination, CMS operations, data accuracy, and team performance.

The role will lead the catalog team, ensure SLA and quality adherence, resolve operational issues, and drive process improvements for scalable and efficient catalog operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage creation, updation, and maintenance of product catalogs and SKUs.
  • Ensure accurate taxonomy, categorization, attributes, metadata, and product information.
  • Manage bulk SKU uploads through Excel/CSV and flat-file workflows.
  • Conduct catalog audits and resolve duplicates, missing information, and data-quality issues.
2. Online Listing & Content Quality
  • Manage product titles, descriptions, specifications, images, keywords, and listing content.
  • Ensure listings meet defined quality, SEO, and platform standards.
  • Coordinate with content/design teams for enhanced content requirements.
  • Establish and monitor catalog QC and content-quality standards.
3. Team Management
  • Lead and manage Catalog Executives/Data Associates.
  • Allocate workloads and monitor productivity, quality, TAT, and SLA adherence.
  • Conduct quality checks, provide feedback, and coach team members.
  • Train new team members on catalog processes, CMS workflows, taxonomy, and SOPs.
  • Identify performance gaps and drive corrective actions.
4. Process & SOP Management
  • Define and improve catalog SOPs, workflows, taxonomy rules, and QC processes.
  • Identify process gaps and opportunities for automation and simplification.
  • Drive standardization, productivity, and scalability across catalog operations.
  • Coordinate with vendors/suppliers for product information, images, specifications, and other catalog requirements.
  • Follow up on missing or inaccurate product data.
  • Work closely with Merchandising, Procurement, Logistics, Warehouse, Content, Technology, and Customer Service teams.
  • Manage catalog-related escalations and ensure timely resolution.
6. CMS & System Operations
  • Manage catalog operations through CMS/PIM tools and marketplace dashboards.
  • Monitor uploads, system errors, and catalog synchronization.
  • Coordinate with Technology/Product teams to resolve system and workflow issues.
  • Maintain error logs and track issue closure.
7. Reporting & Analytics
  • Prepare MIS covering catalog creation, SKU productivity, quality, SLA/TAT, listing health, upload status, vendor data, and team performance.
  • Analyze operational data to identify gaps and improvement opportunities.
  • Use Excel/Google Sheets and dashboards to track and improve operational KPIs.
8. Quality & Issue Resolution
  • Monitor catalog quality, completeness, and data accuracy.
  • Analyze catalog-related customer complaints, returns, and recurring issues.
  • Conduct root-cause analysis and implement corrective/preventive actions.
  • Ensure timely closure of critical catalog errors and escalations.
