Job summary

Bodhe Institute for Entrepreneurship (BIE) in Thane invites an Educational Counselor to guide prospective and current students through academic pathways and entrepreneurial programs. Qualifications

Responsibilities

Role Description

The Educational Counselor will provide guidance to prospective and current students on academic pathways, entrepreneurial programs, and career options aligned with BIE’s mission. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting counseling sessions, responding to student and family inquiries, supporting admissions and orientation activities, and maintaining accurate records of student interactions. The role involves collaborating with faculty and administrative teams to design and deliver information sessions, workshops, and outreach initiatives that help students make informed educational and career decisions. The counselor will also assist in developing counseling materials, tracking student progress, and providing timely referrals to appropriate resources when needed. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Thane.

CTC - 30k to 45k plus incentives,

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Educational Consulting and Education-related skills to guide students on programs, curricula, and learning pathways.
• Candidates should possess Student Counseling and Career Counseling skills to support learners in academic planning, personal development, and career decisions.
• Candidates should possess excellent Communication skills, including clear verbal and written communication and active listening.
• Relevant experience in academic advising, school or college counseling, or higher education administration is beneficial.
• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Education, Psychology, Counseling, Management, or a related field is preferred.
• Ability to build trust with diverse student populations, handle sensitive information discreetly, and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and comfort using digital tools and student information systems.
• Interest in entrepreneurship and familiarity with business education or startup ecosystems will be an advantage.
