Job summary

Motherson Technology Services Limited in Bengaluru is seeking an experienced CAM programmer to develop and optimize CNC programs for aerospace components. You will work with CatiaCam, Powermill or SolidCAM to create 2D/3D toolpaths and G-code for 3-, 4-, 5-axis machining.

You will interpret drawings and GD&T, collaborate with Design, Manufacturing and Quality teams, and drive productivity, tool life and machining quality through optimized cycles.

Qualifications

• CatiaCam, PowerMill or SolidCAM required for CAM programming.
• Hands-on CAM programming experience in CNC machining.
• Strong knowledge of CNC machining processes and 2D/3D milling.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and GD&T.
• Experience in toolpath creation, optimization and verification.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize CNC programs using CatiaCam, PowerMill or SolidCAM.
• Create 2D/3D toolpaths for milling and machining operations.
• Work on 3-axis, 4-axis and 5-axis machining based on project needs.
• Generate and validate toolpaths for complex components and generate G-code/NC programs.
• Select cutting tools and machining parameters; optimize feeds and speeds.
• Perform toolpath simulation and collision checks.
• Interpret drawings, 3D models and GD&T; ensure machining compliance.
• Collaborate with Design, Manufacturing, Production and Quality teams.
• Improve productivity, tool life and machining quality through optimized cycles.
• Troubleshoot CNC programming and machining issues.
• Support prototype, development and production machining activities.

Location - Devanahalli, Bengaluru

Experience - 2 to 10 Years

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize CNC machining programs using CatiaCam or Powermill or SolidCAM.
• Create 2D/3D toolpaths for milling and machining operations.
• Work on 3-axis / 4-axis / 5-axis machiningbased on project requirements.
• Generate and validate toolpaths for complex components.
• Select appropriate cutting tools, machining parameters, feeds, and speeds.
• Perform toolpath simulation and collision/gouge checking.
• Generate and modify G-code / NC programsfor CNC machines.
• Interpret engineering drawings, 3D models, GD&T, and machining specifications.
• Collaborate with Design, Manufacturing, Production, and Quality teams.
• Optimize machining cycles to improve productivity, tool life, and machining quality.
• Troubleshoot CNC programming and machining-related issues.
• Support prototype, development, and production machining activities.
• Maintain CAM programs, machining documentation, and process sheets.

Mandatory Skillsets
