Job summary

Nazztec group is seeking an experienced CAD Engineer to drive New Product Development from concept to manufacturing. You will design mechanical components, create 3D models and 2D drawings in CATIA, and run FEM analyses to validate performance.

The role requires strong GD&T knowledge, PLM workflow understanding, and the ability to optimize CAD standards and engineering processes within cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7–8+ years of experience in Mechanical Design, CAD Engineering, Product Design, or New Product Development.
• Hands-on experience with 3D CAD software in an engineering/product-development environment.
• Experience in mechanical component/product development and engineering drawing creation.
• Strong written and verbal communication in English.

Responsibilities

• Develop product concepts and design mechanical products and components.
• Create, modify, and optimize 3D parts, assemblies, and 2D manufacturing drawings using CATIA and SAP ECTR.
• Perform FEM modeling, meshing, simulation, post-processing, and result evaluation using HyperWorks or Ansys.
• Support mechanical and plastic-compatible design, structural optimization, fatigue analysis, and material-data preparation.
• Maintain engineering documentation and design revisions throughout the product lifecycle.

Job description

We are looking for a detail-oriented CAD Engineer to support New Product Development (NPD) through concept design, 3D modeling, engineering drawings, FEM analysis, technical documentation, CAD automation, and engineering process optimization.

The ideal candidate should have strong mechanical design expertise, excellent proficiency in CATIA, hands‑on experience with FEM/FEA tools, and a strong understanding of product development, manufacturing, GD&T, PLM, and engineering documentation.

Experience in CAD automation, scripting, macros, SAP ECTR, and engineering workflow optimization will be an added advantage.

• Develop product concepts and design mechanical products and components.
• Create, modify, and optimize 3D parts, assemblies, and 2D manufacturing drawings using CATIA and SAP ECTR.
• Perform FEM modeling, meshing, simulation, post-processing, and result evaluation using HyperWorks, Ansys, or equivalent tools.
• Support mechanical and plastic-compatible design, structural optimization, fatigue analysis, and material-data preparation.
• Maintain engineering documentation, design revisions, product data, and technical records throughout the product lifecycle.
• Provide technical CAD and simulation support to product-development, engineering, manufacturing, and cross‑functional teams.
• Perform advanced solid, surface, and sheet-metal modeling.
• Perform reverse engineering activities when required.
• Identify opportunities for CAD automation and engineering process improvement.
• Develop automation using macros, scripting, CAD APIs, or PLM workflows.
• Support engineering teams in improving design efficiency, quality, repeatability, and productivity.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of CAD standards, design processes, and engineering workflows.
