Job summary

TYPSA India in Gurugram is seeking a CAD Engineer to lead end-to-end CAD production for large-scale linear infrastructure projects such as highways and expressways. You will develop CAD standards, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, and ensure high-quality drawings compliant with international standards.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of CAD/drafting experience in infrastructure projects, including a minimum of 2 years on international projects, with strong AutoCAD and MicroStation skills and

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Execute and manage CAD drafting and detailing for road/highway/depot projects.
• Develop and maintain CAD standards, layers, templates, blocks, and workflows.
• Support full lifecycle of CAD deliverables including concept to IFC drawings.
• Ensure organization of CAD files, references, and data environments.
• Perform quality checks to meet project, client, and international standards.

1. Position Overview

The CAD Engineer will be responsible for end-to-end CAD production and coordination for large-scale linear infrastructure projects such as highways, expressways, other road projects. The role involves developing and maintaining CAD standards, managing complex design data, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring high-quality drawings and models that comply with international engineering standards and client requirements.

The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in CAD tools for infrastructure design, experience working on international projects, and the ability to support and guide CAD teams in delivering accurate, timely, and compliant design outputs.

2. Key Responsibilities

• Execute and manage CAD drafting and detailing activities for road, highway, depot projects deliverables.
• Develop and maintain CAD standards, layers, templates, blocks, and workflows for linear infrastructure projects.
• Support the full lifecycle of CAD deliverables, including concept, preliminary, detailed, and IFC drawings.
• Ensure proper organization and management of CAD files, references, and data environments.
• Perform regular quality checks and audits to ensure drawings meet project, client, and international standards.

3. Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• 5+ years of CAD/drafting experience in infrastructure engineering projects.
• Minimum 2 years of experience on international linear infrastructure projects (roads, highways, Depot etc.).
• Experience working in a multidisciplinary and multicultural project environment.
• Expertise in AutoCAD, MicroStation, and related platforms.
• Strong understanding of Horizontal and vertical alignment geometry, Corridor modelling and cross-sections, Profiles, plan & profile drawings and Utility & drainage interfaces.
• Capability to work with multicultural and geographically distributed teams.
• Strong documentation and quality‑control mindset

C. Software & Technical Expertise

Essential Skills

• AutoCAD – Advanced level

Strong understanding of:
