Position Overview

The CAD Manager will lead and manage all CAD/BIM production activities for large‑scale linear infrastructure projects such as highways, expressways, rail lines, metro corridors, and track alignments. This role is responsible for establishing drafting standards, managing complex design data, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring high‑quality deliverables aligned with international engineering standards. The ideal candidate will have proven expertise in managing CAD environments for global projects, strong coordination skills, and the ability to lead digital engineering workflows across dispersed teams.

Key Responsibilities
A. CAD Leadership & Management
  • Develop, implement, and maintain CAD standards, templates, and workflows for linear infrastructure projects.
  • Manage the end‑to‑end CAD production process for road, highway, and railway design deliverables.
  • Lead and mentor a team of CAD designers, technicians, and modelers across multiple disciplines.
  • Conduct regular quality checks to ensure drawings meet project, client, and international standards.
B. Project Coordination
  • Review and approve final drawings, models, and design deliverables.
  • Coordinate CAD activities between disciplines including highways, structures, drainage, utilities, geotechnical, and rail alignment.
  • Collaborate with design managers, discipline leads, and global teams to ensure seamless data flow and design integration.
  • Manage interfaces with international consultants and clients.
  • Ensure compliance with global standards such as AASHTO, AREMA, BS/EN, IRC, or project‑specific guidelines.
  • Promote continuous improvement and digital innovation in CAD workflows.
  • Establish best practices, automated tools, and scripting to enhance productivity.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor’s or Diploma in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • 15+ years of CAD/drafting experience in infrastructure engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience on international linear infrastructure projects (roads, highways, metro, rail, LRT, track design, etc.).
  • Expertise in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, OpenRoads, OpenRail, and related platforms.
  • Strong understanding of alignment geometry, corridor modeling, cross‑sections, rail profiles, and utility interfaces.
  • Experience with cloud collaboration tools (ProjectWise, BIM360, Bentley CONNECT).
  • Familiarity with global design standards (AASHTO, BS/EN, AREMA, Eurocode, IRC).
  • Capability to work with multicultural and geographically distributed teams.
  • Leadership and team management.
  • Strong documentation and quality‑control mindset.
C. Software & Technical Expertise
  • AutoCAD, MicroStation.
  • Basic exposure to Civil 3D, Open Roads/Open Rail, Navisworks.
  • Ensure all CAD systems are updated, licensed, and configured according to project requirements.

Oversee digital data management, file structures, reference models, and version control.
