Job summary

Tekskills is seeking a CAD/CAE Support Engineer in Bengaluru (Hybrid) to provide Level 1 and 2 support for NX, Delmia, LS-PrePost, and other CAD/CAE tools. The role includes troubleshooting installations, licensing, data conversions, and PLM integrations with teams like Teamcenter.

The ideal candidate has a mechanical engineering background, strong communication, and hands-on experience with CAD data, JT formats, and visualization tools. Automotive domain exposure is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Proficiency with CAD tools like Siemens NX and Vis-Mockup.
• Experience with simulation tools: LS-PrePost and Delmia (Process simulation/Robotics).
• Visualization & conversion using JT formats, OpenJT.
• Familiarity with CAD data structures, assemblies, lightweight visualization.
• Knowledge of PDM/PLM environments is a plus.
• Good communication, analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Exposure to automotive/manufacturing domains is desirable.
• Experience with ticketing systems (ServiceNow, Jira, etc.) for support management.

Responsibilities

• Provide Level 1 & 2 support for CAD/CAE applications (NX, Delmia, ANSYS, Hypermesh, Vis-Mockup, JT, LS-PrePost).
• Troubleshoot installation, licensing, performance, file corruption, and integration issues.
• Support CAD data handling: conversion, JT creation, visualization workflows.
• Assist engineers with model issues, compatibility, and version conflicts.
• Guide users on best practices, modeling techniques, and data management.
• Collaborate with infrastructure and PLM teams (e.g., Teamcenter) for CAD-PLM integration.
• Prepare support documentation, SOPs, FAQs, and training materials.
• Perform regression testing and validation for software updates/patches.
