Qualifications

• CA or MBA in Finance is required.
• 7–8 years of progressive finance/accounting experience, preferably in hospitality.
• Strong knowledge of hotel accounting standards, USALI, GST/tax compliance.

Responsibilities

• Direct all hotel accounting for multiple properties (AP, AR, GL, income audit, payroll).
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, cash flow modeling and variance analysis.
• Prepare MIS reports and profitability analyses for leadership and directors.
• Monitor F&B and room cost, identify leakages and drive cost optimization.
• Ensure statutory compliance, audits, and tax filings across properties.
• Collaborate with GMs and department heads on working capital and pricing.
• Mentor and develop the property finance team for accuracy and compliance.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Finance Controller with 7 to 8 years of core finance and accounting experience to lead complete property-level financial operations across our hotels in Ahmedabad, Dehradun, and Roorkee.

In this leadership role, you will oversee day-to-day financial management, drive budgeting and cost control, ensure strict regulatory compliance, and partner closely with operational teams to maximize property profitability.

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Operations & Control

• Direct end-to-end hotel accounting, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), General Ledger (GL), Income Audit, Cash Flow, and Payroll management.

2. Budgeting & Forecasting

• Drive annual operational budgeting, periodic financial forecasting, cash flow modeling, and variance analysis to align with corporate financial targets.

3. MIS & Reporting

• Prepare and deliver detailed Monthly Management Information Systems (MIS) reports, financial statements, and profitability analysis for senior leadership and property directors.

4. Cost Control & Profitability

• Monitor departmental food & beverage (F&B), room sales, and operational costs. Identify leakages, establish key control metrics, and drive cost-optimization strategies.

5. Compliance & Audits

• Ensure full compliance with statutory laws, GST, TDS, tax filings, and local hotel regulations. Facilitate internal, external, and property-level financial audits.

6. Operations Partnership

• Collaborate with General Managers and department heads to optimize working capital, inventory control, and operational pricing strategies.

7. Team Leadership

• Mentor, supervise, and develop the property finance and accounting team to maintain high accuracy, efficiency, and compliance standards.

Key Requirements & Qualifications

1. Education

• Chartered Accountant (CA) / MBA in Finance.

2. Experience

• 7-8 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting, preferably within the hospitality or hotel sector.

3. Technical Skills

• Strong proficiency in hotel PMS software (Opera, IDS, or similar), ERP systems (SAP), advanced Excel, and business intelligence tools (Power BI).

4. Domain Knowledge

• Deep understanding of hotel accounting standards, Uniform System of Accounts for the Lodging Industry (USALI), tax compliance, and income audit procedures.

5. Soft Skills

• Excellent leadership, analytical, communication, and multi-property stakeholder management capabilities.
