Job summary

Tecnicas Reunidas in Bengaluru seeks a senior civil/structural engineer with 15–20 years of experience in EPC environments, and at least 7 years in power plant projects. You will lead multidisciplinary engineering activities, ensure quality, schedule, and cost control, and act as main technical contact for clients.

The role involves coordinating design teams, reviewing deliverables, leading design reviews and HAZOP sessions, mentoring engineers, and driving continuous improvement in engineering

Qualifications

• More than 15–20 years in civil/structural engineering within EPC/consultancies/construction.
• At least 7 years focused on Power Plant projects.
• Experience with CC Power Plants, Thermal, Cogeneration or Renewable facilities.
• Proven track record leading multidisciplinary projects from design to execution.

Responsibilities

• Lead civil/structural engineering activities ensuring quality, schedule, and budget compliance.
• Act as main technical contact for clients, PM, and other disciplines.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and integration of design deliverables.
• Review and approve key engineering deliverables and calculations.
• Manage technical risks and propose strategic solutions.

ROLE SUMMARY

• More than 15 to 20 years of experience in civil/structural engineering within EPC companies, engineering consultancies, or construction environments. At least last 7 years dedicated to Power Plant projects.
• Experience in Combined Cycle Power Plants (CCPP), Thermal Power Plants, Cogeneration Plants, or Renewable Energy facilities.
• Proven track record of leading complex, multidisciplinary projects from design to execution phases.
• Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent). A Masters degree or advanced specialization in structural engineering, project management, or construction will be highly valued.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead the engineering activities of civil/structural discipline within projects, ensuring technical quality, schedule, and budget compliance.
• Act as the main technical point of contact for clients, project management, and other disciplines.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams and oversee integration of all design deliverables.
• Spread, Combined or Mat Equipment Foundations (Pumps, Exchangers, Columns, Horizontal and Vertical Vessels, Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and client specifications throughout all project phases.
• Review and approve key engineering deliverables, calculations, and technical documentation.
• Manage technical risks and provide strategic solutions to complex engineering challenges.
• Participate in and lead client meetings, design reviews, HAZID/HAZOP sessions, and technical workshops.
• Support project planning, including resource allocation, workload management, and engineering execution strategies.
• Mentor senior and junior engineers, promoting technical excellence and professional development.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives in engineering processes, tools, and standards.
