Responsibilities

• Own the full Procure to Pay (P2P) management for vessels and coordinate with vessels and local agents to ensure timely orders and invoicing.
• Drive cost optimization through better demand planning, master data, catalogs, frame agreements, and inventory management.
• Select supplier quotations with a focus on total cost of ownership and ensure efficient transport options while not compromising operations.
• Collaborate with Technical, Operations, Chartering and Category Management to optimize inputs and supplier relationships.
• Ensure compliance with framework agreements and catalogue buying and promote consistent procurement practices across ports and vessels.

Job description

The candidate will be responsible to handling the full Procure to Pay flow for vessels; from identifying demandto delivery on-board along with effectively and independently identifying possible areas for improvement toreduce cost (e.g.payment terms, incoterms, delivery costs, process and logistical optimization) whilst keeping avigilant eye on the overall process flow.

• Be accountable of the full Procure to Pay (P2P) management for 5 to 8 tanker vessels and constantlywork with vessels to enhance the ordering behavior through promotion of a cost mindset - instillingsubjects such as master data, catalogues, frame agreements, demand planning, inventorymanagement and proper utilization of key port ordering.
• Evaluate and improve supplier selection, considering total cost of ownership and deliver the rightgoods at the fastest and most economical way, ensuring daily running costs are kept at minimumwithout jeopardizing operations.
• Ensure compliance to framework agreements and practice catalogue buying consistently, educating,and optimizing inputs received from requestors. In Collaboration with Category Management, developknowledge of the global supplier base and establish relationships with key suppliers worldwide.
• Ensure selection of best offer through careful analysis of supplier quotations and selection of bestmode of transport offer through careful analysis of forwarder quotations.
• Timely and consistent handling and follow-up on orders and invoices in collaboration with suppliers,local agents and vessels and ensure smooth coordination between regular stores, local goods andprovisions deliveries to vessels when in ports.
• Maintain and further develop positive performance driven relationships between key stakeholders inthe organization, hereunder, Technical, Operations, Chartering etc while identifying and evaluatingpotential suppliers to ensure availability of items and ensure smooth operation on board the vessels.
