BSM Cruise Services in Mumbai seeks a Buyer (Medical Procurement) to coordinate the purchase and timely delivery of medical supplies for vessels, ensuring compliance with procurement standards and regulatory requirements.

You will review requisitions, evaluate quotations, prepare purchase orders, and liaise with suppliers and vessels to ensure uninterrupted availability of medicines and consumables onboard. Strong English communication and detail-oriented coordination are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in pharmacy or related field.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate quarterly and ad hoc medical supply requirements from vessels.
• Review requisitions and select medicines and consumables for procurement.
• Obtain and evaluate supplier quotations based on pricing, availability, specifications and delivery terms.
• Prepare purchase orders in line with procurement policies.
• Monitor procurement activities from order placement to delivery onboard.

• Maintain procurement records and ensure audit compliance.
• Complete goods receipt processes after delivery.

As a Buyer (Medical Procurement) BSM Cruise, you will be responsible for coordinating the procurement and delivery of medical supplies for vessels, ensuring requirements are accurately fulfilled in a timely and cost-effective manner. The role plays a key part in supporting vessel operations by maintaining the availability of medicines and medical consumables onboard while ensuring compliance with procurement standards and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage quarterly and ad hoc medical supply requirements received from vessels.
• Review medical requisitions and select appropriate medicines and medical consumables for procurement.
• Obtain and evaluate supplier quotations based on pricing, availability, specifications, delivery schedules, and commercial terms.
• Prepare purchase orders in accordance with procurement policies and requirements.
• Monitor procurement activities from order placement through delivery, ensuring timely and accurate supply of medical items onboard.
• Liaise with suppliers, vessels, and relevant stakeholders to resolve procurement and delivery-related matters.
• Maintain accurate procurement records and ensure proper documentation and audit compliance.
• Complete goods receipt processes following confirmation of delivery.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) preferred, or Bachelor's Degree in a relevant discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, supply chain, or a related field.
