Job summary

Honchoshunters is seeking a Business Systems Analyst to support Wealth platform modernization and data migration initiatives, including moving on-prem SQL data to Microsoft Azure. You will bridge business stakeholders, data teams, technology, and development to translate needs into clear functional and data requirements.

Based in Bangalore/Chennai, the role is office-based with 5 days a week, shift 12:00–21:30.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in IT/CS or related field.
• Experience as a Business Systems Analyst in banking, financial services, or wealth management.
• Strong SQL and data-analysis skills; cloud migration experience.

Responsibilities

Location: Bangalore/ChennaiAll 5 days work from office and shift timings 12 to 9.30 PM.

Business Systems Analyst responsible for supporting Wealth platform modernization and data migration initiatives, including migration of on-premises SQL data platforms to Microsoft Azure Cloud and development of enterprise Data Products. Acts as a bridge between business stakeholders, data teams, technology teams, and development teams to translate business needs into clear functional and data requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct requirements gathering and requirement elicitation sessions with Wealth business stakeholders to understand business processes, data needs, reporting requirements, and expected outcomes.
  Facilitate workshops and discussions with business and technical teams to define business requirements, functional requirements, data requirements, and acceptance criteria.
  Support migration of Wealth data platforms from on-premises SQL environments to Microsoft Azure Cloud.
  Analyze existing on-premises data structures, business rules, data flows, and dependencies to support cloud migration and modernization.
  Work closely with data engineering teams to define and validate requirements for Data Products developed as part of the Wealth platform modernization.
  Identify source systems and understand how data is generated, transformed, integrated, and consumed across the Wealth ecosystem.
  knowledge of Salesforce as a key source system, understanding Salesforce objects, fields, relationships, and business processes to define data requirements and validate data used within Wealth Data Products.
  Perform data analysis and data profiling to understand data quality, completeness, consistency, uniqueness, and business-rule compliance.
  Develop and execute SQL queries to analyze source and target data, investigate data discrepancies, validate business rules, and support requirements analysis.
  Use Databricks SQL and queries to analyze cloud-based datasets and validate data within Azure-based Data Products.
  Perform source-to-target analysis and support data mapping between legacy on-premises systems and cloud environments.
  Collaborate with Data Engineers, Data Architects, Developers, QA teams, Product Owners, and business stakeholders throughout the delivery lifecycle.
  Translate complex technical and data concepts into understandable business requirements and communicate business requirements clearly to technical teams.
  Participate in data validation, reconciliation, UAT, defect triage, and production implementation activities.
  Investigate data issues by tracing data across source systems, transformation logic, Data Products, and downstream consumers.
  Document business rules, data definitions, source-to-target mappings, data lineage, requirements, and process flows.
  Support Agile ceremonies including backlog refinement, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  Work with Product Owners and stakeholders to prioritize requirements and ensure delivered solutions meet business objectives.
