OCTANE ANALYTICS INDIA PRIVATE LIMITED is seeking a Business Operations Manager India to support a Sydney-based GM Operations, working with an India-based technical delivery team.
This hands-on role requires an MBA with 5+ years in business or operations, plus strong data skills, SOP development, and experience using AI tools for reporting while maintaining control over processes. The position offers remote work with early start to align with Sydney hours.
Location: Remote
Reports to: General Manager, Operations (Sydney, Australia)
A hands-on operations role supporting a Sydney-based GM Operations, working closely with an India-based technical delivery team. This is a doer's role, someone who executes, not just directs, with real scope to shape how the India business runs.
This role starts early to give strong overlap with the Sydney team, with a start time around 6:00am India time. In exchange, your working day will finish early too.
Operations & reporting. Build strong working relationships with team leads, developers and the delivery manager. Get fluent in the company's core systems (CRM/ticketing, project management, HR platform) and pull accurate reports fast. Spot trends, flag problems, and drive the fixes through. Use AI tools to speed up reporting, but stay in control of the process rather than letting AI run it alone.
Customer & delivery insight. Produce customer health-check and quarterly business review reports. Look into open support tickets to find the root cause of problems and fix them. Work with GM Operations to lift how well the delivery team is used, in a way the team is happy to get behind.
Process & documentation. Write SOPs for your own role and work with the delivery team to document theirs. Lead the build-out of company-wide SOPs, including HR-related policies. Turn those SOPs into simple, practical training materials.
People & coordination. Coordinate team events across India and support international events as needed. Liaise with local accountants and auditors on subsidiary matters. Work with an external recruiter to keep developer hiring moving quickly.
Travel within India for business events. Occasional international travel, including to Australia, as required.
An MBA, plus 5+ years in a business or operations role. A genuine self-starter who takes initiative but also takes direction well. Strong enough with data and systems to produce management-ready reports quickly.
Comfortable using AI as a tool, not a shortcut. Reliable follow-through, someone who finishes what they start. Able to work an early-start schedule aligned to Sydney business hours.
