VRP Telematics is seeking a Business Finance Manager to lead FP&A for our E-commerce operations, driving financial planning, performance analysis and decision support.

You will oversee an outsourced accounting team, reconcile partner accounts, manage monthly closes, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to align financial goals with business strategy.

The role emphasizes rigorous reporting, budgeting, GST/tax knowledge, and ERP proficiency (Oracle/SAP) to sustain growth and profitability.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly P&L for online/e-commerce business.
• Prepare balance sheet, cash flow, and variance analyses.
• Provide MIS & periodic performance reports for HO/CFO.
• Manage outsourced accounting team of 10-15 and ensure timely close.
• Coordinate with business, tax, and head office accounting teams.
• Conduct financial planning against forecast and explain variances.
• Support budget creation and AOP with clear assumptions.
• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting (monthly/quarterly/annual).

JOB OVERVIEW

As the Business Finance Manager, you will play a crucial role in driving the financial success and sustainable growth of our E-commerce business. You will lead the financial planning and analysis efforts, ensuring sound financial decisionmaking, and collaborating with various departments to optimize performance. Your expertise in financial management and strategic insights will directly impact the company's bottom line and aid in achieving our business objectives.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Preferred knowledge of e-commerce business and understanding of e-com transaction flow.
• Expert in reconciling accounts of brands/partners/suppliers with company balances.
• Able to reconcile accounts of online partners/marketplaces.
• Manage and supervise outsourced accounting team of 10-15 members and close monthly books of accounts on time along with reconciliations and schedules.
• Work closely with the business team to align financial goals with the overall business strategy and collaborate with the business team/ Vendor Managers for calculation of category-wise income.
• Understand income and cost numbers and reconcile them with head office accounts along with inter-company balances.
• Coordinator between the business team, outsourced accounting and tax team, and head office accounting team.
• Responsible for preparing the monthly profit and loss statement for the online/e-com business and understand accrual and provisions accounting.
• Responsible for preparing the P&L, balance sheet, cash flow statement and variance analysis
• Preparation of MIS regarding Financial & Operational data and reviewing periodic business performance reports for HO management/CFO.
• Knowledge of preparation of budget / AOP with all assumptions
• Knowledge of Taxation like GST, TDS, TCS, income tax etc.
• Financial planning and analysis skills to understand variances between actual and forecasted numbers and identify drivers of those variances.
• Working knowledge of ERP systems, especially Oracle, SAP, etc.
• Proficient in Excel, Excel-formulas such as V/X-lookup, pivot, sumif, etc.
• Implement financial models, SOP and scenario analyses to support strategic planning and risk management.
• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements.
