Job summary

Equitas Small Finance Bank is seeking a External Title Business Development Officer - Used Car for the Kolar branch. The role focuses on sourcing used car loan applications, building dealer and customer relationships, and ensuring compliance with RBI regulations.

You will manage end-to-end loan proposals, maintain strong channel relations, and identify cross-sell opportunities while delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Candidate should have 3–6 years in used car financing.
• Experience in OEM/Dealer sales, banks/NBFCs.
• Proficient in English and regional language of the state applying for.
• Proficient with Excel and written English.

Responsibilities

• Develop consistent pipeline of applications from good quality customers for finance of Used cars through direct sourcing, dealers, DSAs, market references.
• Effectively manage relationships with all customers by responding to their requirements in a timely and professional manner.
• Ensure that all documentation and information related to loan proposals are obtained in a timely manner to practice ‘First Time Right’ principle.
• Actively generate & pass on leads for cross-sell products like Savings Accounts, Current Accounts, Term Deposits, FASTag where applicable.
• Ensure 100% compliance to Policies & Processes and RBI and other statutory bodies.
• Follow up channels and maintain relationships to ensure no PDD is pending beyond 60 days.
• Understand ESFB Used car Funding products and offer the right scheme to the client and meet customer requirements.

Graduation: Any Graduate

Post-graduation: MBA or any PG would be an added advantage

Purpose of the role:

• To ensure high quality delivery of relevant vehicle finance products & services to our clients in a fair and transparent manner.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop consistent pipeline of applications from good quality customers who require finance for purchase of Used cars through direct sourcing, Dealers, DSAs, market references etc.,
• Effectively manage relationships with all customers by responding to their requirements in a timely and professional manner.
• Ensure that all documentation and information related to loan proposals are obtained in a timely manner to practice ‘First Time Right’ principle.
• Actively generate & pass on leads for cross-sell products like Saving Accounts, Current Accounts, Term Deposits, FASTag (wherever applicable)
• Ensure 100% compliance to Policies & Processes and all regulatory matters of RBI and other statutory bodies
• Closely follow up Channels and keep the relationship intact and ensure no PDD is pending beyond 60 days from his channels.
• Understand the products & policies of ESFB Used car Funding and offer the right scheme to the client and ensure customer’s requirement is met.

Desired Experience:

Number of years of experience (range): 3-6 years

• Type of companies/sector worked for: OEM / Dealer Sales / Banks/NBFCs, should have relevant experience New or Used cars finance .
• Responsibilities managed in the previous organizations: The applicant should have experience in Used Car, should have excellent contacts in the Cars finance market. Experience in understanding Process, Car types, Client segments, dynamics of used car market is critical for this role.
• Languages: Working knowledge of English and fluency in regional language of the state applying for. Ability to speak in other regional languages would be an added advantage.
• Computer/technical skills (if any): Should be comfortable in using Excel (ability to analyze reports sent from Head Office) and email (ability to communicate clearly in written English).
