With a team of over 170 professionals, we have delivered projects in over 29 countries and specialise in creating virtual worlds for critical applications using simulation and AR/VR technologies. Tecknotrove is headquartered in Andheri, Mumbai, with offices in Delhi and the Middle East and a manufacturing facility in Gujarat. We supply simulators to the Indian Armed Forces and are expanding to address the needs of Army, Navy, Air Force, Para Military Forces and Police Forces.
Position Summary
This position will be responsible for identifying new opportunities, stakeholder management in the defence ecosystem and driving end-to-end business development activities. This will include, but will not be limited to, the entire product lifecycle including procurement processes (EOIs, RFIs, RFPs, Trials, Demonstrations, tender management and contract management). The role will act as a bridge between operational defence requirements and Tecknotrove’s simulation solutions, engaging directly with end-users, stakeholders, and MoD procurement ecosystems. The role will also involve working closely with all internal departments to fulfil requirements and expand Tecknotrove’s business in the defence vertical.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Defence Engagement & Representation: Engage with key stakeholders in the Indian Army, Navy, Air Force, and allied government bodies to understand current and future simulation, training, and wargaming needs.
- Defence Expos, Army Seminars, Air Force Events, and Simulation Workshops: Represent Tecknotrove at these events.
- Build long-term strategic relationships with defence personnel across procurement, operations, and training commands.
- Drive end-to-end ownership of RFI/RFP responses, tender documentation, and techno-commercial proposal development.
- Participate in and steer various trials and demonstrations.
- Coordinate PDI (Pre-Dispatch Inspection) with clients and internal teams.
- Lead and align internal teams (software, hardware, and content development) to deliver as per end-user requirements.
Stakeholder Alignment
- Act as the primary interface between defence stakeholders and internal engineering/product teams.
- Facilitate cross-functional alignment for seamless delivery of complex simulation projects.
Market Expansion & Strategic Growth
- Explore new B2B opportunities in defence.
- Expand simulation business by identifying new opportunities in the defence segment.
- Map and target simulation opportunities under various government and MoD-funded programs.
- Catalyse the growth of Tecknotrove’s defence business.
Qualifications
Education: Graduate / Post Grad (Any)
Experience: 10 to 15 years in the Indian Army at the rank of Major or Lieutenant Colonel (mandatory). 2 years of corporate experience in BD roles in Defence industry (preferred, not mandatory).

Technical Skills
- Strong business development acumen in defence (B2G/B2B) with end-to-end RFI/RFP/tender/trials/procurement experience.
- Deep understanding of Indian Army operations, training methods, and defence procurement (DPP/DAP).
