About Brand Vantage Academy

Brand Vantage Academy bridges the gap between education and employment by partnering with colleges and universities to deliver industry-aligned skill development, employability training, career readiness, and placement assistance programs.

Our programs help students build practical skills, workplace readiness, and the competencies required to transition successfully from college to the professional world.

Role Overview
  • We are looking for a result-oriented Business Development Manager with proven experience in B2B institutional sales, college outreach, and closing MoUs with colleges and universities for skill development and training programs.
  • The ideal candidate must have an established understanding of the higher education ecosystem and the ability to engage with college management, principals, directors, Deans, Heads of Departments (HODs), and Training & Placement Officers (TPOs).
  • This role requires a hands‑on business development professional who can independently manage the entire sales cycle—from identifying prospective institutions and conducting meetings to negotiating commercial terms post‑management approval, closing MoUs, and converting partnerships into revenue‑generating training engagements.
Key Responsibilities
1. B2B College Outreach & Institutional Partnerships
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities with colleges, universities, and higher education institutions.
  • Build and maintain relationships with college management, principals, directors, Deans, HODs, and TPOs.
  • Conduct in‑person meetings, institutional presentations, and business discussions with key decision‑makers.
  • Develop a strong pipeline of prospective colleges and universities across assigned territories.
  • Leverage existing institutional networks to accelerate outreach and partnership closures.
2. College MoU Closures & Business Development
  • Independently drive and close MoUs with colleges and universities for skill development, employability, and career readiness programs.
  • Own the complete institutional sales cycle, including prospecting, lead qualification, meetings, follow‑ups, proposal presentations, negotiations, and closure.
  • Present partnership models, program benefits, commercial proposals, and implementation plans to institutional stakeholders.
  • Convert signed MoUs into confirmed training programs, student enrollments, and business revenue.
  • Ensure timely follow‑ups with decision‑makers and maintain consistent momentum across the sales pipeline.
3. Skill Development & Training Program Sales
  • Promote industry‑aligned training programs across technical and non‑technical domains, including Generative AI, Full Stack Development, Cybersecurity, Cloud Computing, Finance, Digital Marketing, and other employability‑focused programs.
  • Understand institutional requirements and recommend suitable training and placement‑readiness solutions.
  • Work closely with the training and academic teams to develop customized proposals based on college requirements.
  • Identify opportunities for campus‑based training, workshops, placement readiness programs, and long‑term institutional partnerships.
  • Explore opportunities for repeat business, multi‑campus agreements, and expansion within existing partner institutions.
4. Revenue Generation & Target Achievement
  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual targets for qualified institutional leads, college meetings, MoU closures, training program conversions, and revenue.
  • Maintain an accurate sales pipeline, opportunity tracker, and periodic business development reports.
  • Forecast closures and identify potential risks or delays in the sales cycle.
  • Develop territory‑wise business plans and prioritize high‑potential institutions.
  • Ensure that business development activities translate into measurable commercial outcomes.
5. Relationship Management & Execution
  • Build long‑term relationships with partner institutions to support program renewals and future collaborations.
  • Coordinate with internal teams for program planning, training schedules, faculty coordination, and partnership implementation.
  • Follow up with colleges after MoU signing to move partnerships towards execution.
  • Represent Brand Vantage Academy at college visits, institutional meetings, education events, seminars, and networking forums.
Mandatory Requirements
  • 4–5+ years of relevant experience in B2B college outreach, institutional sales, education partnerships, or higher education business development.
  • Demonstrated experience in personally closing MoUs or institutional tie‑ups with colleges and universities.
  • Proven experience selling or facilitating skill development, employability, training, placement‑readiness, or similar education programs to institutions.
  • Established network and working relationships with college management, principals, directors, TPOs, Deans, or HODs.
  • Strong understanding of the college partnership lifecycle, institutional decision‑making process, and B2B sales cycle.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship‑building skills.
  • Willingness to travel extensively for college visits, meetings, and institutional partnership closures.
  • Ability to work independently, manage a sales pipeline, and deliver results against business targets.
  • Experience working with EdTech companies, skill development organizations, training providers, or education services companies.
  • Existing relationships with colleges and universities across Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, and other states.
  • Experience managing multi‑campus institutional partnerships.
  • Exposure to placement assistance, campus recruitment, corporate training, or industry‑academia collaboration models.
  • A graduate or postgraduate degree in a Science‑related discipline is an added advantage. Candidates with qualifications in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field are also welcome, provided they have relevant sales and business development experience.

Please Note:

Seeking a hands‑on institutional business development professional with proven experience in college outreach, stakeholder negotiations, and successful MoU closures. Candidates with experience limited to B2C sales, student counseling, telecalling, or lead generation will not be a fit for this role.
