Job summary

Indian Energy Exchange Limited in Mumbai is seeking a Deputy Manager for Business Development in the power sector. You will leverage your B.Tech and MBA to drive Open Access adoption, coordinate with regulators, and build state-wise market growth.

The role requires 5–8 years of experience in electricity markets, with hands-on exposure to power trading and regulatory provisions. You will lead workshops and engage with stakeholders to deliver budgeted targets.

Qualifications

• Minimum B.Tech in Electrical engineering with MBA in Power Management.
• 5–8 years of experience in electricity market and related regulations.
• Experience in power sales/trading and open access exposure.

Responsibilities

• Knowledge of power trading, open access, and power exchanges.
• Promote Open Access across states through BD activities.
• Identify and monitor OA consumers across states.
• Analyse tariff orders and open access regulations.
• Understand regulatory matters related to OA.
• Organise workshops, conferences, and events at state level.
• Interact with State DICOMs, SLDC, Transco, Regulators, RLDC.
• Coordinate with members/clients for day-to-day support.
• Track power market developments and drive state-wise growth.

Knowledge of power trading, power sale/ purchase, open access, power exchanges, RECs, ESCERTs, regulatory & statutory provisions etc.

Business Development to promote Open Access across states.

Identify and monitor OA consumers across states.

Analysing States Tariff orders and open access regulations.

Sound Understanding of legal/Regulatory aspects of matters related to OA.

Execution of BD activities like Organizing workshops, conferences, events at state levels to promote OA.

Regular interaction with State DICOMs, SLDC, Transco, Regulatory Commission, RLDC etc

Coordinating and assisting Members / Clients on Day to Day Basis.

Tracking power market related developments

Key Deliverables: Develop market across states and achieve budgeted growth rate.

Good to have:

• The incumbent should have 5-8 years of experience in electricity market and related Regulations.
• Candidate should have handled Power Sales/Trading and exposure to Open Access.
• MBA in Power Management would be an added advantage.
