Job summary

Astra Source in Bengaluru is seeking an enthusiastic student counsellor to guide aspiring students through overseas education opportunities. You will counsel, assist with applications, and provide career guidance to help students choose suitable courses and destinations.

You will conduct information sessions, manage the end-to-end process, and stay updated on visa rules while collaborating with the team to ensure excellent client service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree completed.
• Fluent English, strong communication and confidence.
• Go-getter with a positive attitude.
• Understanding of higher education courses is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one student counselling on overseas education options.
• Assist in applications, including personal statements, references, and documentation.
• Offer career guidance based on academic interests and goals.
• Conduct information sessions and webinars for students and families.
• Manage end-to-end student application process, including visa guidance and follow-ups.
• Stay updated on visa regulations and popular study destinations.
• Regularly follow up with students to track progress and provide ongoing support.
• Collaborate with team to ensure coordinated counselling and client satisfaction.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

• Student Counselling: Provide one-on-one counseling to students regarding overseas education opportunities, including course and university selection, application procedures, and visa requirements.
• Application Assistance: Assist students in preparing and submitting applications, including writing personal statements, securing references, and completing necessary documentation.
• Career Guidance: Offer insights into various career paths based on the students academic interests and professional goals, helping them make informed decisions about their education abroad.
• Information Sessions: Conduct information sessions and webinars for students and their families, addressing concerns and providing detailed explanations about studying abroad.
• Process Management: Manage the entire student application process, from initial inquiry to final enrollment, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience for students. Visa Assistance: Guide students through the visa application process, including documentation, interview preparation, and follow-ups.
• Market Research: Stay informed about the latest trends and developments in overseas education, including changes in visa regulations, admission criteria, and popular study destinations.
• Follow-Up: Regularly follow up with students to monitor their progress, address concerns, and provide ongoing support throughout their application journey. Team Collaboration: Work closely with other team members to ensure a coordinated approach to counseling and client satisfaction.

Requirements:
