Job summary

Talent Basket in Trivandrum is seeking a highly analytical Business Analyst – RPA & Automation to bridge business stakeholders with delivery teams and drive automation initiatives. You will own end-to-end requirement management, map processes, and identify high-impact opportunities for RPA and workflow solutions.

Qualifications

About the Role

We are seeking a highly analytical and results-driven Business Analyst – RPA & Automation to join our team in Trivandrum. In this role, you will act as a critical bridge between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams to drive process optimization, digital transformation, and automation initiatives.

You will be responsible for end-to-end requirement management, process mapping, identifying high-impact automation opportunities, and supporting the successful delivery of Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and workflow solution projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Requirement Gathering & Analysis: Lead workshops and interview sessions with key stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and document comprehensive business requirements.
• Documentation & Delivery: Create high-quality business artifacts including Business Requirement Documents (BRD), Functional Requirement Documents (FRD), user stories, use cases, and clear acceptance criteria.
• Process Modeling: Analyze existing operational workflows to design and document detailed As-Is and To-Be process flows, value-stream maps, and BPMN models.
• Opportunity Identification: Evaluate current business processes to identify candidates for RPA, workflow automation, and process optimization to drive efficiency gains.
• Stakeholder Engagement & Alignment: Serve as the primary liaison between cross-functional business units and technical execution teams, ensuring clear alignment with organizational strategic goals.
• Project & Delivery Support: Manage multiple automation initiatives independently from inception through implementation, applying Agile, Lean, or Waterfall methodologies as required.
• Change Management & Adoption: Support stakeholder communication, user training, and user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure smooth solution adoption.

Qualifications & Requirements

Must-Have Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 5 years of overall IT/business experience, with at least 3 years dedicated to a Business Analyst role focused on automation or process improvement programs.
• Core BA Expertise: Proven expertise in writing BRDs, FRDs, user stories, acceptance criteria, and process mapping using BPMN standards.
• Automation Knowledge: Strong conceptual and practical understanding of Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and business process management (BPM) concepts.
• Methodologies: Hands-on experience working across Agile, Lean Product Development, and Waterfall delivery frameworks.
• Soft Skills: Exceptional analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving, and time-management capabilities.
• Communication: Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with a proven ability to engage effectively with global and geographically distributed teams.
• Data-Driven Mindset: Strong reliance on metrics and data to validate business cases and support decision-making.

Good-to-Have Skills

• Hands-on exposure to market-leading RPA platforms such as UiPath, Automation Anywhere, or Blue Prism.
• Exposure to low-code/no-code workflow automation and digital transformation tools.
• Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), Agile (CSPO/PSPO), or industry-recognized RPA vendor certifications (e.g., UiPath Certified Business Analyst).
• Background in Product Management practices or organizational change management (OCM).
