Job summary

UST in Thiruvananthapuram, India, seeks a senior Business Analyst with 5+ years in BA and 3+ years in automation projects. You will elicit requirements from business stakeholders, design BPMN processes, and document BRD/FRD and user stories for automation initiatives.

You will evaluate automation tools, drive process improvements, and work in Agile/Waterfall environments on cross-functional teams. Strong communication and data-driven analysis are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years total experience; 3+ years in a Business Analysis role.
• Strong understanding of automation tools used in industry.
• Hands-on experience in automation initiatives and process improvement programs.
• Strong requirement elicitation skills with stakeholders.
• Documentation of BRD/FRD, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Experience in BPMN and process mapping (As-Is/To-Be).
• Exposure to Agile, Lean Product Development and Waterfall.
• Able to manage multiple projects independently.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving.
• Data-driven mindset with strong analytical capabilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Exposure to RPA or automation programs is advantageous.

Must-Have Qualifications & Skills:

• 5+ years of total experience and 3+years of experience in a Business Analysis role


• Strong understanding of automation tools used in industry


• Hands-on experience in automation initiatives and process improvement programs


• Strong requirement elicitation skills with the ability to interact effectively with business stakeholders


• Expertise in preparing comprehensive documentation including BRD, FRD, user stories, use cases, and acceptance criteria


• Experience in business process modelling and process flow creation (BPMN, workflow diagrams, As-Is/To-Be process mapping)


• Experience working with Agile, Lean Product Development and Waterfall methodologies


• Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and independently


• Excellent organizational and time management skills


• Strong analytical, critical thinking and creative problem-solving abilities


• Data-driven mindset with strong analytical capabilities


• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Good-to-Have Qualifications & Skills:

• Exposure to enterprise-level RPA or automation programs


• Experience working with cross-functional and geographically distributed teams
