Job summary

Thought Water Consulting in Mumbai seeks a results-driven Business Analyst with about 5 years of experience in requirements management to drive merchant acquiring solutions and understand customer needs.

You will translate explicit and implicit requirements into a precise functional specification, define scope, constraints, and ensure stakeholder sign-off.

Responsibilities include product enhancements, demos, pre-sales support for proposals, and aligning solutions with business goals.

Qualifications

• Experience in merchant acquiring and payment domains.
• Ability to elicit and document requirements and translate into solutions.
• Experience in customer-facing roles and stakeholder coordination.
• Strong written and verbal communication with cross-functional teams.
• Understanding of SDLC and ability to drive product-focused discussions.

Responsibilities

• Responsible primarily for merchant acquiring solutions/products.
• Understand business requirements from customers and create a functional specification covering the product solution.
• Elicit requirements: understand implicit and explicit needs, plan scope, define details, constraints, and out-of-scope items; obtain stakeholder sign-off.
• Drive product enhancements and identify opportunities aligned with business goals.
• Manage product demos, presentations, and support pre-sales with proposals and RFP responses.
• Develop standard offerings considering long-term view and competition; assess feature gaps against client expectations.
• Collaborate with engineering for inputs on proposed solutions and effort estimates.

Essential Competencies:

• Experience in Payment Card Industry is must
• Experience in merchant acquiring domain preferred.
• -Should have worked upon POS, IPG, BQR/UPI payment menthods
• Scheme mandates knowledge will be an added advantage
• Must be aware about compliance and regulator practices in Payment domain
• Around 5 Years experience in Requirement Management and Business Analyst Position
• Ability to understand implicit and explicit requirements
• Ability to understand the customer and converting requirement into product solutions
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to think strategically and execute successfully
• Dedicated team player who is both self directed & willing to multi task on various projects

• Understand Business Requirements from the Customers and create a functional documentation covering product solution that will be offered to the customer
• Requirement elicitation phase should encompass

  • Detail Scope and assumptions as well as constraints
  • Detail out of scope requirements
  • Release the scope document with stakeholders
  • Review and Sign-off from stakeholders

  • drive the entire product enhancement project in line with Business
• Managing Product Demos & Presentation to the customers
• Providing inputs to Pre-Sales group for sending proposals, RFP responses
