The role is based in Pune or Bangalore and requires deep knowledge of payment ecosystems, real-time payments, ACH, wires, SWIFT, and compliance.

Qualifications

Job Summary

As a Business Analyst within the Payments domain, you will bridge business needs and technology solutions to drive product and process improvements across payment platforms. You will work closely with clients, product teams, engineering teams, and operations stakeholders to define requirements and support successful delivery. Success in this role is measured through high-quality business analysis, effective stakeholder collaboration, and successful implementation of payment solutions. This role is based in Pune or Bangalore.

What You Will Be Doing

• Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements for payment solutions and initiatives
• Translate business needs into detailed user stories, process flows, and functional specifications
• Collaborate with product managers, developers, testing teams, and business stakeholders throughout delivery cycles
• Facilitate requirement workshops, stakeholder discussions, and solution reviews
• Analyze payment workflows, transaction lifecycles, and operational processes to identify improvements
• Support solution design activities and ensure alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements
• Participate in impact analysis, gap assessments, and change management activities
• Validate business requirements through testing support, user acceptance activities, and defect triage
• Monitor project progress, manage requirement traceability, and communicate status to stakeholders
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across payment products, processes, and customer experiences

Required Qualifications

• 6 to 11 years of experience as a Business Analyst in financial services, fintech, or payments organizations
• Strong knowledge of payment ecosystems, payment processing, and transaction flows
• Experience working with payment products such as real-time payments, ACH, wires, SWIFT, card payments, or digital payments
• Expertise in requirements elicitation, business process modeling, and documentation techniques
• Experience creating user stories, use cases, process maps, and functional specifications
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills
• Experience working in Agile, Scrum, or hybrid delivery environments
• Bachelors degree or equivalent practical experience in Business, Finance, Information Technology, or a related field

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of ISO 20022 payment messaging standards
• Experience with payment modernization or digital transformation programs
• Familiarity with SQL, data analysis, and reporting tools
• Understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements within payments environments
• Professional certifications such as CBAP, CCBA, Agile, Scrum, or Product-related certifications
