Job summary

Kumaran Systems is seeking an experienced Business Analyst with deep Payroll and Pension domain knowledge to support requirements analysis and legacy modernization projects. You will gather requirements, document processes, and translate them into BRDs, FRDs, and user stories, collaborating with Dev and QA teams to ensure accurate implementation.

The role emphasizes mapping legacy Oracle Forms functionality to a new Python/Django application, working with stakeholders, and ensuring high-quality

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Payroll and Pension business processes.
• Experience in business requirements gathering, functional analysis, and process documentation.
• Ability to analyze complex business rules and legacy application workflows.
• Experience with SQL and database analysis is preferred.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies, Jira, and UAT processes.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements for payroll and pension applications.
• Understand payroll processing, salary calculations, deductions, taxation, pension contributions, benefits, and disbursements.
• Analyze existing application/system functionality, business rules, workflows, and exception scenarios.
• Work with business stakeholders and SMEs to document functional requirements and process flows.
• Prepare BRDs, FRDs, user stories, use cases, and acceptance criteria.
• Collaborate with development and QA teams to ensure accurate implementation of business requirements.
• Support functional testing, UAT, defect resolution, and business validation.
• Assist in mapping legacy Oracle Forms functionality to the new Python/Django application.
