Job summary

Kumaran Systems invites an experienced Business Analyst with strong domain knowledge in Payroll and Pension systems to support requirements analysis and legacy modernization.

You will gather requirements, document BRDs/FRDs, map workflows, and collaborate with developers and QA to ensure accurate implementation in the migration to Python/Django, while supporting UAT and stakeholder management.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Payroll and Pension business processes.
• Experience in business requirements gathering, functional analysis, and process documentation.
• Ability to analyze complex business rules and legacy application workflows.
• Experience with SQL and database analysis is preferred.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies, Jira, and UAT processes.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements for payroll and pension applications.
• Understand payroll processing, salary calculations, deductions, taxation, pension contributions, benefits, and disbursements.
• Analyze existing application/system functionality, business rules, workflows, and exception scenarios.
• Work with business stakeholders and SMEs to document functional requirements and process flows.
• Prepare BRDs, FRDs, user stories, use cases, and acceptance criteria.
• Collaborate with development and QA teams to ensure accurate implementation of business requirements.
• Support functional testing, UAT, defect resolution, and business validation.
• Assist in mapping legacy Oracle Forms functionality to the new Python/Django application.
