Job summary

Kumaran Systems is seeking an experienced Oracle Forms & Database SME to analyze, reverse engineer, and migrate legacy Oracle Forms applications to modern Python/Django web applications. You will review PL/SQL, triggers, reports, and data structures, ensuring functional parity and clean documentation.

Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on experience with Oracle Forms 4.5/6i/10g/11g/12c.
• Strong expertise in Oracle Database, SQL and PL/SQL.
• Good understanding of triggers, LOVs, record groups, canvases and data blocks.
• Experience with Oracle Reports, stored procedures, packages, and performance tuning.
• Capability in legacy analysis, reverse engineering, and producing technical docs.
• Ability to collaborate with Python/Django teams.
• Familiarity with Oracle Jobs & Reports.

Responsibilities

• Analyze existing Oracle Forms applications, triggers, workflows, and embedded business logic.
• Review PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, database triggers, and SQL queries.
• Identify dependencies between Forms modules, database objects, reports, and external interfaces.
• Document existing functionality, business rules, and technical dependencies.
• Support mapping and migration of legacy functionality to Python/Django apps.
• Collaborate with business analysts, architects, developers, and QA teams.
• Validate data integrity and functional parity during migration.
• Troubleshoot complex application and database issues.
