Job summary

Kumaran Systems is seeking an experienced Functional QA Engineer (Payments) to ensure the quality of our automation tools and software products. You will collaborate with Product Managers, Developers, and QA Engineers to design, implement, and maintain effective test strategies, ensuring a flawless user experience.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software testing experience with a focus on functional testing.
• Strong expertise in Payments domain and related workflows.
• Ability to design and execute manual and automated test cases.
• Familiarity with test automation frameworks and scripting.
• Solid understanding of SDLC/STLC and QA best practices.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Product Managers, Developers, and QA Engineers to define test strategies.
• Design, develop, and execute functional, regression, performance, and usability tests.
• Identify, document, and track defects with steps to reproduce.
• Conduct functional testing across modules to ensure comprehensive coverage.
• Participate in usability testing and provide actionable feedback.
• Review and validate user guides and troubleshooting materials.
• Maintain test data, environments, and update automation scripts.
• Continuously improve testing processes and metrics.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure on-time delivery.

Functional Testers

We are seeking an experienced Functional QA Engineer (Payments) to ensure the quality, reliability, and usability of our automation tools and software products. You will collaborate closely with Product Managers, Developers, and fellow QA Engineers to design, implement, and maintain effective test strategies and ensure a flawless user experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Product Managers, Developers, and QA Engineers to understand product requirements and define comprehensive test strategies.
• Design, develop, and execute functional, regression, performance, and usability test cases.
• Identify, document, and track defects with clear steps to reproduce, including logs, screenshots, and other relevant details.
• Conduct functional testing across various modules and ensure thorough coverage of all user scenarios.
• Participate in usability testing, providing detailed feedback to improve the end-user experience.
• Support documentation teams by reviewing and validating user guides and troubleshooting materials.
• Maintain test data, environments, and update automation scripts to align with evolving tools and features.
• Continuously improve testing processes, tools, and metrics to enhance team efficiency and product quality.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth testing cycles and on-time delivery.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in software testing, with strong focus on functional testing.
• Must have strong expertise in Payments domain.
• Proven ability to design and execute manual and automated test cases.
• Familiarity with test automation frameworks and scripting is a plus.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and quality assurance best practices.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
• Strong communication and documentation abilities, capable of working effectively across teams.
• Experience in performance or usability testing is an advantage.
