• Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Payment Business Analyst to join our Payment Product Team. The Payment Business Analyst will collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design solutions, and implement improvements related to payment processing. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, deep understanding of payment industry trends, and excellent communication abilities.

• Experience: 2 to 5 years

Mandatory skills:

• Proven experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in the payment and Banking industry.
• Strong understanding of payment processing, which includes Automated Clearing House (ACH), Electronic payments processing, Clearing and Settlement Processes of India/other countries and transaction flows.
• Working experience with ISO 2022, NACH Payment Messaging Standards.
• Conduct thorough analysis of payment processes, systems, and workflows to identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into detailed functional specifications for payment system enhancements or new implementations.
• Ability to translate business requirements into functional specifications and effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Gather and document business and system requirements, including user stories, use cases, and process flows, ensuring alignment with business objectives and compliance requirements.
• Conduct testing, quality assurance, and user acceptance testing (UAT) to validate payment system changes, ensuring they meet business requirements and functional specifications.

• Monitor and report on payment system performance, identifying and addressing issues, and proactively proposing enhancements to enhance system reliability and user experience.

• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes related to payment processing, and provide recommendations on incorporating emerging technologies and innovations.
• Familiarity with payment industry regulations, compliance standards, and security best practices.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques, such as SQL, Excel, and statistical analysis.
• Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Strong project handling skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile environments is a plus.
• Certification in business analysis or project management is a plus.
