Job summary

Intellect Design Arena invites a Total Business Analyst (Payments) with a minimum of 5 years of experience to join our payments practice in Pune. You will analyze end-to-end payment processing, map requirements, and translate business needs into functional specifications.

You will interact with operations and technology leaders, work on payment rails, ACH, RTGS, SWIFT/ISO20022, and contribute to enterprise-grade solution design and delivery.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst in payments.
• Strong knowledge of payment rails, real-time payments, ACH, EFT.
• Experience with SWIFT MT, ISO 20022 and data element mapping.
• Ability to translate business needs into detailed specifications.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; stakeholder interaction.

Responsibilities

• Analyze payments processing requirements from initiation to settlement.
• Map business requirements to process flows and user stories.
• Collaborate with operations and technology executives.
• Prepare functional specifications and UI considerations.
• Engage with tier-1 banks and payment applications.

Total Business Analyst (Payments) Experience: minimum 5 years

Skills & Expertise:

Working knowledge of at least one of the below, for North America :

Payment rails (domestic and international) : Wire Payments, ACH Credits and

Debits, Real Time Payments, EFT - Direct Deposits & Pre-Authorized Debits

Clearing systems : LVTS, ACSS, FedWire, CHIPS, RTP Network, ACH

Expert in end-to-end payments processing from initiation to clearing and settlement :

channel validations, file/API format validation, process flows, user interfaces, business

validations, clearing handoff, accounting, response processing etc.

Expert in at least one of the industry standards for payment file formats (SWIFT MT :

Expert in data element mapping across various file formats such as MT to ISO to Legacy

Expert in gathering and analyzing business requirements and translating them into

precisely documented process flows, user journeys/stories, functional specifications.

Expert in analyzing pain areas and provide a best-fit solution, for business and

operations teams, in the area of payments processing

Excellent written and verbal communications along with good presentation and

Strong attention to detail and ability to interact with a diverse group of business,

operations and technology executives and subject matter experts

Preferred:

Experience in working with/for at least one of the tier-1 banks based in North America

Experience of working on any/all of the below applications

o Payment Processing - Pre-processor HUB, Payment Engine / Gateway

Solutioning skills and experience of large scale solution design on at least 2 projects

Working knowledge of APIs, SWIFT and ISO20022 in payment processing
