Responsibilities

Business operations

• Run the daily operations of the business, from orders and billing to dispatch and delivery.
• Plan and monitor stock levels of cement and TMT bars, and coordinate purchases with suppliers and manufacturers.
• Arrange transport and deliveries on time, and resolve site and vehicle issues.

Sales and customers

• Build and maintain relationships with contractors, builders, dealers and project sites.
• Generate new leads, quote rates, negotiate and close orders.
• Follow up on repeat orders and handle customer complaints.

Accounts and collections

• Oversee billing, GST invoicing and daily records with the accountant.
• Manage credit limits and recover outstanding payments on schedule.
• Track rates, margins, expenses and cash flow.

Team and reporting

• Supervise and guide the accountant, sales, godown and driver staff.
• Give the owner a regular update on sales, stock, receivables and pending issues.
• Suggest improvements to cut costs and grow sales.
