Job summary

SEGULA Technologies in Chennai, India seeks a PLM/DMU specialist to manage CAD data, product structures, and EBOMs within PLM systems. The role involves check-in/check-out, data release, revision control, and lifecycle updates, plus coordinating DMU reports with design teams.

You will support ECR/ECN processes, ensure traceability across components, and resolve CAD integration issues for smooth automotive development projects.

Job description

• Manage CAD data, product structures, and engineering documents in PLM systems.
• Perform check-in/check-out, data release, revision control, and lifecycle status updates.
• Create, modify, and validate product structures and Engineering Bill of Materials (EBOM).
• Support Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) and Engineering Change Notices (ECNs).
• Maintain traceability of parts, assemblies, drawings, and design revisions.
• Resolve PLM data inconsistencies and CAD integration issues.
• Perform 3D vehicle assembly integration using CATIA V5/V6.
• Conduct clash detection and clearance analysis between vehicle components.
• Perform packaging, accessibility, and assembly feasibility checks.
• Validate component positioning and interfaces across automotive systems.
• Analyze interference between trims, chassis, powertrain, body-in-white, and interior/exterior components.
• Generate DMU reports and coordinate with design teams to resolve identified issues.

B. DMU – Digital Mock-Up
