Job summary

Powercon Ventures India is seeking an experienced BOP Manager to lead the Balance of Plant activities for wind energy projects, including project execution, contractor management, electrical infrastructure, commissioning and safety.

You will oversee 33kV–220kV systems, substations and switchyards, coordinate SCADA and protection systems, and ensure on-time completion with quality documentation and handover.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lead Wind BOP execution from construction through testing and commissioning.
• Manage 33kV HT lines, pooling substation, switchyard and evacuation systems.
• Oversee installation and commissioning of transformers, breakers, CT/PT and relays.
• Coordinate SCADA, comms and electrical systems with teams/OEMs.
• Manage EPC contractors, subcontractors, vendors and site manpower.
• Monitor schedule, progress, quality and cost of the project.
• Review drawings, specs, BOQ and method statements.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, PM and O&M teams.
• Lead testing, commissioning, energization and handover.
• Ensure compliance with HSE, electrical safety and quality standards.
• Resolve technical and site execution issues and escalate to management.
• Prepare and review daily/weekly/monthly progress reports.
• Ensure proper documentation and as-built drawings and test reports.

The role will be responsible for project execution, contractor management, electrical infrastructure, substation/switchyard works, commissioning, safety, quality, and timely project completion.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead overall Wind BOP execution from construction to testing and commissioning.
• Manage 33kV HT lines, pooling substation, switchyard and evacuation systems.
• Supervise installation and commissioning of 100/200 MVA transformers, circuit breakers, isolators, CT, PT/CVT, protection relays and metering systems.
• Coordinate SCADA, communication and electrical systems with relevant teams/OEMs.
• Manage EPC contractors, subcontractors, vendors and site manpower.
• Monitor project schedule, progress, quality and cost.
• Review drawings, technical specifications, BOQ and method statements.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, project management and O&M teams.
• Lead testing, commissioning, energization and handover activities.
• Ensure compliance with HSE, electrical safety and quality standards.

Required Skills

Qualifications

B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.

Preferred Experience

Candidates with experience in Wind Energy / Renewable Energy BOP projects, particularly in substation, switchyard, HT transmission and power evacuation projects, will be preferred.
