Job summary

Lathia Rubber Mfg Co in India is seeking a skilled Boiler Technician to install, commission, and maintain boiler systems across our facilities. The role emphasizes safety, reliability, and efficient operation of boilers and related equipment.

You will conduct preventive maintenance, diagnose issues, and collaborate with maintenance teams to minimize downtime while ensuring compliance with safety regulations and manufacturer guidelines. Experience with boiler controls and safety devices is valued.

Responsibilities

• Install and commission boilers following safety regulations and manufacturer guidelines.
• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on boilers and related equipment to identify and address potential issues.
• Diagnose and repair malfunctions or breakdowns in boiler systems, such as leaks, faulty valves, or pressure irregularities.
• Perform regular cleaning and servicing of boilers to remove scale, sediment, and other debris that may affect performance.
• Monitor and adjust boiler controls, fuel consumption, and water levels to optimize efficiency and minimize energy wastage.
• Test boiler safety devices, such as pressure switches, relief valves, and flame safeguards, to ensure proper functioning.
• Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs performed on all boilers in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with maintenance teams to coordinate repairs and shutdowns, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
• Stay updated with industry trends, regulations, and advancements in boiler technology to recommend improvements or upgrades to existing systems.
• Foster a culture of safety by following all relevant safety protocols, conducting risk assessments, and promoting safe work practices.
