Keka Technologies Private Limited seeks an experienced Boiler Operator to manage the safe start-up, operation, and shut-down of boilers in a pharma-capable environment. You will monitor critical parameters, adjust controls, and ensure continuous steam supply with strict adherence to SOPs and GMP standards.
The role requires a first class boiler attendant certificate and 6+ years of boiler operation experience, with a preference for biofuel/bio-coal boiler exposure.
Start-up, operation, and shut-down of boilers safely as per SOPs
Monitor boiler parameters - steam pressure, temperature, water level, fuel feed and adjust controls for safe, efficient performance
Ensure steam quality & supply continuity to the pharma process without fluctuations that may affect product quality.
Operate and check safety valves, gauges, feed pumps, blowdown valves and safety interlocks
Maintain water chemistry & treatment to prevent scale and corrosion (blowdown, chemical dosing)
Clean boiler area and ensure housekeeping standards in boiler room
Maintain Boiler logbooks / Operation records daily - including pressure, temperature, feed water quality, safety checks, faults, and corrective actions
Record maintenance activities and routine checks as per pharmaceutical GMP documentation standards
Prepare records for statutory inspection by Boiler Inspectorate (IBR) and internal audit
Support internal and statutory audits by providing records and operational clarity
Act promptly during boiler emergencies (overpressure, leakage, flame failure, feed water loss)
Execute emergency shut-down procedures safely without damage to equipment or harm to personnel
Initiate alarm escalation and communication to maintenance/supervisor per SOP
First class boiler attendantwith valid certificate6+ years of experience in Boiler Operation
Preferred- Experience in handling biofuel/bio-coal boiler
