Job summary

Tata Technologies in Bangalore is hosting a planned walk-in drive for engineering roles focused on BIW welding fixtures. Shortlisting will occur at the venue. The role requires 3 to 9 years of hands-on experience in fixture design, with CATIA V5 and UG NX skills, and exposure to welding lines and GD&T via BOM creation.

Applicants should be capable of creating 2D drawings, performing basic calculations, and collaborating with OEM customers. Prior Teamcenter exposure is a plus.

Qualifications

• 3–9 years of engineering experience, BIW welding fixtures design.
• Hands-on in spot welding/MIG welding fixtures.
• Proficient with CATIA V5 and UG NX for design.
• Knowledge of GD&T and BOM creation.

Responsibilities

• Concept Design of clamps, pins, slides and retractable units for welding fixtures.
• Exposure to Welding Lines Process & Layout (Spot, ARC welding).
• Performs basic engineering calculations to verify design integrity.
• Create 2D manufacturing drawings and BOM.
• Understand tolerances and materials; read GD&T drawings.
• Design BIW welding fixtures and understand manufacturing and assembly processes.
• Experience with OEMs like GM, VW, BMW, FORD, DAIMLER etc.
• Conduct technical reviews with customers; exposure to multiple CAD tools is a plus.
• Experience with Teamcenter is advantageous.
