Job summary

Intelizign Lifecycle Services in Pune is seeking an experienced BIW Closures Design engineer to drive closure components development using UG NX/CATIA. The role requires 4–8 years of BIW closure design experience and close coordination with cross-functional teams to deliver on schedule.

The candidate will lead design activities, contribute to Hoods, Fenders, Liftgates, and other closure modules, and ensure regulatory compliance and timely product release within a global development framework.

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech./M.E./M.Tech in Mechanical/Automotive/Electrical engineering.
• 4–8 years experience in BIW Closure design.
• UG NX/CATIA CAD design experience.
• Closure components development lead and delivery responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Closure components development activities.
• Ensure closure systems meet quality, performance, time and cost targets.
• Coordinate vehicle builds and manage engineering changes.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams with other regions on development.
• Ensure homologation and regulatory compliance for closure components.
• Oversee engineering, design, development, timing and product release of closure components.
• Manage supplier development activities and explore weight/cost reduction opportunities.

Relevant experience: BIW Closure related systems design and application. CAD design experience UG NX / CATIA.

Education: B.E. / B. Tech. / M. E / M. Tech Mechanical / Automotive / Electrical engineering.

Essential Skills

• Strong development experience in Closure components
• Concept Design and Feasibility studies of Hoods, Fenders, Liftgates, Tailgates, Side Doors, Hardware, and Sealing Systems, Door Modules, Manual Tops.
• Experience in Closure related systems design and application. CAD design experience UG NX / CATIA.
• Lead the Closure components development activities.
• Ensure Closure component / system project, being consistent with quality, performance, time, and costs objectives and being supported by specialized areas.
• Vehicle build co-ordination, Engineering change lead, Expertise in development process.
• Ensure Cross functional team co-ordination on development and practices in a specific collaborative project with other regions.
• Homologation and Regulation compliance for all the Closure system components
• Responsible for the Engineering, Design, Development, Timing and Product release of Closure components
• Other responsibilities will include managing supplier (internal/external) development activities, weight and cost reduction opportunities, development, and validation of assigned components.
