Job summary

Idexcel is seeking a BIW (Body Engineering) Design Engineer with 3-8 years of BIW design and development experience. Location involves Chennai and Pune, with strong UG NX/CATIA skills and GD&T expertise. BE Mechanical Engineering is required.

Role includes surface modelling, master section creation, packaging studies, welding and stamping knowledge, and collaboration across teams for prototyping and production support.

Qualifications

• 3-8 years of BIW design and development experience.
• Strong experience in UG NX / CATIA for BIW.
• Knowledge of GD&T principles and drawing creation.
• Surface modelling and master section creation for BIW components.

Responsibilities

• BIW design and development of body structures and panels.
• Support in packaging and interference studies during concept to production.
• Apply GD&T and create approvals drawings.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for prototyping and tooling reviews.
• Provide manufacturing feasibility input and support tooling reviews.
