Job summary

Ababil Healthcare is seeking a skilled Biomedical Equipment Technician to join our Healthcare & Life Sciences team in India. You will perform preventive maintenance, inspections, calibration and testing of medical devices according to OEM guidelines and AMC/CMC schedules.

You will diagnose and resolve minor technical issues during visits, submit accurate service reports, and maintain records. You will also educate customers on proper operation and support installations when required.

Qualifications

• B.Tech / B.E. in Biomedical Engineering is required.
• Experience in medical equipment maintenance preferred.
• Willingness to travel for service visits.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance of medical equipment according to AMC/CMC and company service schedules.
• Conduct equipment inspections, calibration, cleaning, and functional testing according to OEM guidelines.
• Diagnose and resolve minor technical issues during preventive maintenance visits.
• Prepare and submit accurate service reports immediately after every service visit.
• Maintain service records, preventive maintenance schedules, and customer documentation.
• Coordinate with the Service Coordinator for PM planning and scheduling.
• Escalate major technical issues to senior engineers or OEM technical support.
• Ensure timely closure of assigned service calls and preventive maintenance activities.
• Maintain inventory of service tools, spare parts, and consumables.
• Educate customers on the proper operation and routine care of equipment.
• Follow all safety, quality, and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships by providing professional technical support.
• Support installation, commissioning, and breakdown service whenever required.
