AECOM in Gurgaon, India seeks a BIM Specialist – Electrical to develop and manage detailed BIM models for electrical systems on data center projects. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless integration, accuracy, and efficiency through the project lifecycle.

The ideal candidate has 3-5 years of BIM modeling and electrical design experience, proficiency with Revit, and knowledge of data center infrastructure and electrical codes.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of professional experience in BIM modeling, electrical design, or related technical roles within the AEC industry.
• Advanced proficiency with Revit (or equivalent BIM software) for electrical systems modeling and documentation.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, power distribution, data center infrastructure, and critical facility requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop, model, and maintain detailed BIM models for electrical systems in data center projects using industry-standard software and best practices.
• Coordinate electrical BIM models with MEP teams to identify and resolve clashes efficiently.
• Perform clash detection analysis and generate reports to ensure model integrity and compliance.

We’re looking for a detail-oriented and analytical BIM Specialist – Electrical to join our dynamic team in Gurgaon, India. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and managing comprehensive Building Information Models (BIM) for electrical systems on data center projects. You will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless integration, accuracy, and efficiency throughout the project lifecycle. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical expertise in electrical systems, exceptional organizational skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality BIM models that drive project success and operational excellence.

• Develop, model, and maintain detailed BIM models for electrical systems in data center projects using industry-standard software and best practices
• Coordinate electrical BIM models with MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) teams to identify and resolve clashes and conflicts efficiently
• Perform clash detection analysis and generate comprehensive reports to ensure model integrity, constructability, and compliance with project requirements
• Create and manage electrical specifications, schedules, and technical documentation within the BIM environment with meticulous attention to detail
• Conduct quality assurance reviews of electrical models to verify accuracy, completeness, and adherence to project standards and protocols
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and stakeholders to communicate design intent, resolve technical issues, and support informed decision-making
• Analyze complex electrical systems and infrastructure requirements specific to data center operations, including power distribution and redundancy considerations
• Maintain organized model libraries, templates, and standards to ensure consistency and efficiency across all projects
• Support project teams with BIM-related problem-solving, process optimization, and innovative solutions to enhance project delivery
• Participate actively in BIM coordination meetings and provide technical recommendations for design improvements and constructability enhancements
• Document electrical systems specifications and maintain clear communication channels with all project stakeholders

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of professional experience in BIM modeling, electrical design, or related technical roles within the AEC industry
• Advanced proficiency with Revit (or equivalent BIM software) for electrical systems modeling and documentation
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, power distribution, data center infrastructure, and critical facility requirements
• Demonstrated experience with MEP coordination workflows and clash detection methodologies
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant design and documentation tools
• Experience with BIM coordination platforms and project management tools
• Strong understanding of electrical codes, standards, and best practices (NEC, IEC, or equivalent)
• Experience on data center, critical infrastructure, or large-scale commercial projects (preferred)
• Knowledge of energy management systems and sustainable design practices (preferred)
• Familiarity with BIM standards, protocols, and industry best practices (preferred)
• Revit certification or BIM-related professional certification (preferred)
• Experience with model documentation, specifications management, and technical report generation (preferred)
