Job summary

Egis is seeking a highly experienced BIM Modeler – Electrical to join our Bengaluru, India team. You will develop comprehensive electrical BIM models, coordinate with architects and MEP teams, and drive clash-free designs while upholding top-quality standards.

You will leverage Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, and ACC to deliver precise layouts, 2D schematics, and construction drawings, while mentoring junior staff and ensuring timely project delivery.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8+ years of professional experience in BIM electrical modeling on complex projects.
• Advanced proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, and Revizto for electrical system modeling.
• Experience with Common Data Environments (CDE), especially Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC).
• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline; knowledge of Indian electrical codes is preferred.
• Strong clash detection, coordination drawings, and interdisciplinary design coordination skills.
• Ability to mentor and support junior team members and meet project deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed and accurate electrical BIM models using Revit, AutoCAD, and related software; ensure compliance with Indian electrical standards and project specs.
• Create 2D schematics and single-line diagrams with precision.
• Generate construction drawings from BIM models for project execution.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to identify and resolve design clashes proactively.
• Perform clash detection and interface coordination using Navisworks and ACC.
• Prepare electrical layouts including power distribution, lighting, and containment solutions.
• Ensure designs adhere to local regulations and BIM standards.
• Support design teams with timely model updates and clarifications to maintain momentum.
• Assist in quantity take-offs, BOQ preparation, and coordination drawings for procurement and construction.
• Mentor junior members and contribute to developing the BIM content library.
• Ensure timely delivery of high-quality digital outputs and cross-discipline information sharing.

• Support the BIM management team in delivering high‑quality digital outputs and facilitating seamless information sharing across discipline teams
• Contribute to the development and refinement of the MEP content library to enhance team efficiency
• Mentor and support junior team members, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment

Qualifications

• Minimum 8+ years of professional experience in BIM electrical modeling on complex projects
• Advanced proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, and Revizto for electrical system modeling
• Demonstrated experience working on collaborative platforms and Common Data Environments (CDE), particularly Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC)
• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, Indian electrical codes and standards, and comprehensive BIM workflows
• Proven expertise in clash detection, coordination drawings, and interdisciplinary design coordination
• Solid understanding of power distribution systems, lighting design, cable management, and electrical containment systems
• Experience with quantity take‑offs and BOQ preparation
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve complex design challenges
• Strong organizational abilities with exceptional attention to detail and quality assurance
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams
