Job summary

Buro Happold seeks an Infrastructure BIM Modeller to convert engineering sketches into detailed 3D models using Revit, Civil 3D and Navisworks. You will coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams and clients, ensuring models meet BIM standards and project schedules.

The role requires 3–5 years of REVIT/Civil 3D experience for infrastructure projects, with proficiency in BIM collaboration tools and an eye for detail in façade modelling.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years’ experience in REVIT/Civil 3D for infrastructure projects.
• Extensive experience in façade modelling and drawing detailing.
• Strong understanding of BIM standards and execution plans.
• Ability to coordinate models across disciplines and with clients.
• Proactive, able to work independently or with supervision.

Responsibilities

• Develop 3D models from engineering sketches using Revit, Civil 3D, AutoCAD and Navisworks.
• Coordinate models with other disciplines and manage BIM data exchange.
• Set up linked models, ensure alignment with BIM Execution Plans.
• Generate construction drawings and extract data from BIM platforms.
• Perform clash detection and resolve design conflicts.
• Produce façade system families and parametric modelling as needed.

Infrastructure BIM Modeller

We are currently seeking candidate for Infrastructure BIM Modeller position to represent BH on our ongoing and future Projects, primarily in Mumbai or Bengaluru. Your next role

As an Infrastructure BIM Modeller your role will be to develop engineering calculations/ sketches into 3D models via advanced modelling tools such as Autodesk Revit, Civil 3D, ACAD, Navisworks for clash detection and Enscape for presentation. You will also setup, manage and coordinate your models/drawings with other engineering disciplines and will be working closely with the engineering and client teams using BIM360 or ACC. The ideal candidate should be enthusiastic, with a keen interest in the built environment.

• Extensive experience in Façade modelling & drawing detailing using Autodesk software’s such as Revit, Civil 3D, Navisworks, AutoCAD
• Proficient in using BIM authoring tools to provide technical support and mentoring required to the project team.
• Set up linked models and coordinate models across disciplines.
• An understanding of industry wide BIM standards
• Follow the established BIM execution plans and adhere to project specific documentation.
• Experience in parametric design and computational modelling added advantage.
• Knowledge of working in sketch up would be an added advantage
• Ensure that the model aligns with the standards and goals set in BIM Execution Plan and BIM project workflow criteria.
• Capable of working independently or with minimal supervision
• Taking ownership of the model/drawing
• Sound knowledge of Infrastructure Services such as potable, storm water drains, sewer, roads
• Create discipline specific BIM Modelling content and able to generate façade system families in BIM working on projects
• Develop accurate construction drawings and extract data based on the discipline BIM platform.
• Able to develop concept ideas into drawing details.
• Drawing/detail production from engineering sketches/calculations
• Making sure drawing production follows company standards.
• Reviewing model/drawings to check compliance with design.
• Responsible for ensuring delivery of model/drawing to agreed project programmes with quality.
• Clash detection, resolution and reporting ensuring a coordinated design.

Your Skills And Experience

• Confident, proactive character, ability to take the lead in challenging situations.
• Interest in built environment and total relevant experience of 3-5 yrs., including working in the REVIT, Civil 3D for infrastructure projects.
• Good communication skills
• Eagerness to learn and work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Preferred Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering / Diploma in Civil Engineering / Certificate Course.
