Job summary

Buro Happold is seeking a Senior BIM Modeller-Infrastructure to join theCities team in Bengaluru. You will develop 3D models from engineering sketches using tools like AutoCAD, Civil 3D and Navisworks, coordinating with other disciplines and client teams via BIM360/ACC.

The role emphasizes leadership, quality assurance and project delivery under BH standards. The ideal candidate has a diploma or bachelor’s in civil engineering with at least 10 years BIM/CAD experience on infrastructure projects,

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum of 10 years of BIM/CAD modelling experience focusing on infrastructure projects.
• Ability to produce 2D and 3D models, drawings for infrastructure schemes.
• Experience in developing BIM Execution Plans and implementing with collaboration tools like BIM 360/ACC.
• Expertise in infrastructure designs such as roads, earthworks, drainage and utilities.
• Experience with 3D clash detection and design coordination.
• Solid knowledge of relevant standards for domestic and international markets.
• Hands-on experience with automation tools and scripting.

Responsibilities

• Lead the BIM/CAD team and mentor junior staff to ensure project deliverable quality.
• Support retention and succession planning within the BIM/CAD team.
• Ensure adherence to BH CAD standards, QA/QC procedures and BIM standards.
• Identify root causes of quality issues and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate with internal clients, assist in fee proposals and help win work.
• Ensure deliverables meet budget, schedule and technical standards.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior BIM Modeller-Infrastructure to join Buro Happold Cities team in Bengaluru to work on some of the world’s best and most complex projects.

As a Senior BIM Modeller-Infrastructure your role will be to develop engineering calculations/sketches into 3D models via advanced modelling tools such as Autodesk, CIVIL 3D, ACAD, Navisworks for clash detection. You will also setup, manage and coordinate your models/drawings with other engineering disciplines and will be working closely with the engineering and client teams using BIM360 or ACC. The ideal candidate should be enthusiastic, with a keen interest in the built environment.

Your next role

• Leading the BIM/CAD team and providing support and mentoring to ensure quality in project deliverables.
• Responsible for supporting retention and succession planning of BIM/CAD team.
• Oversee adherence to technical standards and meet quality control and quality assurance requirements in accordance with BH CAD Standards, specifications and BIM standards.
• Responsible for quality and managing quality issues by identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions
• The position will involve internal client liaison, assisting in the preparation of fee proposals, winning work to achieve team utilisation and financial control of projects.
• Responsible for ensuring work is delivered to budget, programme and technical standards and meet QA & QC
• Direct line management, including mentoring and managing junior staff ensuring technical excellence is in everything we deliver.
• Helping maintain the culture and positive working environment in the team.

Your skills and experience

• A diploma or bachelor's or equivalent degree in civil engineering
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in BIM/CAD modelling, focusing on infrastructures projects
• The ability to produce 2d and 3d models, design and construction drawings in delivering infrastructures schemes.
• Expertise is developing BIM executions plans and implementing it using various collaboration tools like BIM 360/ACC etc
• Expertise in producing infrastructure designs/drawings such as roads, earthworks, drainage layouts, utility layouts, schedules etc.
• Expertise is in 3d clash detections tools and design coordination
• Solid knowledge of the relevant standard details in compliance with domestic and international market requirements
• Hands on experience with various automation tools and using scripts
• Expertise in the use of AutoCAD, Civil 3d, Vehicle tracking, Navisworks and BIM collaboration tools.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines with no supervision.
• Communicate in English effectively, both written and spoken.
• Ability to prioritise workload and meet tight deadlines.
